Mascarpone Cheese

Anyone know where I can find it, or know how to make it?

walmart - believe it or not

when you first walk in the door, there is a little "gourmet" cheese bin
mascarpone is on the left side.

You are looking for a little round plastic dish - slightly smaller than a cream cheese dish.

This cheese ROCKS!! hope you find it

(we add a bit of real maple syrup, mix and use as a bread dip - heavenly)

16 ounces cream cheese
1/3 cup sour cream
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

Mix until smooth.

Giant sells two or three brands of it in their cheese section.

The commissary sells it in the deli section along with the lady fingers.....

I make tiramisu every easter to go with my lamb........

I just cooked it up. We'll see how it turns out in the morning.

The homemade mascarpone worked great. Easy as can be. I just used it to make tiramisu, but need to let it sit so can't taste it until tomorrow.

I remember a recipe that said you could use cream cheese whipped up with some almond extract mixed into it. Not sure of the amounts.

Yes tiramisu does rock, but you need to have genuine espresso coffee as it gives it a great flavor. Trust me on this.
