That article includes yet another summary of the part Sappy is just too stupid to grasp:

Family separation starts at the border when illegal immigrants commit a crime by illegally crossing the border.

The adults are arrested for the crimes, and their children cannot legally be incarcerated with them. This has led to the children getting placed with family members, or if there's no place for them to go, they are placed in shelters for the children of illegal immigrants.

I know exactly what asylum means you ignorant, big mouth, pompous, radical jerk. I also know there are rules and regulations that need to be followed to apply for asylum. I am angry...I am angry at people like you who cant see your nose in front of your face. If its your house, would you leave your doors unlocked? Would you allow strangers to just enter your home, not knowing if they are criminals, rapists, drug dealers, etc??? How do you determine who enters your house?? SOmeone you know? A friend of a friend? You mean you would actually have to know the person coming into your home? What about someone who is there to service your A/C, would you like to know the company that sent them out, had done a background check on them? Made sure they had a clean record before entering your home? Why is your country any different?? Maybe you dont care what sneaks over the border, but, I do.

If someone were being threatened or about to be robbed or raped yep. I'd let them in my house. Which is exactly what asylum is. You obviously are not capable understanding that.


Stop being a selfish ignorant bigot and start being a human being with some compassion.

Well it is obvious that you don't. Asylum is offered to those in need of protection because they have suffered persecution or fear that they will suffer persecution due to:

Race
Religion
Nationality
Membership in a particular social group
Political opinion

Does it say how he intends to figure out whether the adult in question is actually the child's parent or not? Because next on tap is some kid is reunited with the sex trafficker who stole him/her and tried to smuggle them into the US for evil purposes.
