I'm only comparing the terrorism to the old testament and other christian behavior in the past because of your finger pointing at islam... People who live in glass houses... Christians always put themselves on this almighty pedestal. It is always easy for us to sit there and point fingers, and then when our history is called into question, the normal answer of "That is different" seems to suffice for most. But it doesn't, and shouldn't. If you want to pretend our past did not happen, or just look the other way, that is fine. Just don't be surpised that it gets brought to your attention every time you stand up and blast islam for making the same mistakes we did. Sure, it would be nice if they could have learned from our mistakes, but you yourself have shown that history doesn't always play a part in reasoning. So if anything we should blast them for not learning, but we can't hold ourselves unaccountable for giving them something to duplicate.

This is a huge myth that people like to perpetuate so they will have a reason to hate a religion that they simply have no understanding of.

The palestinians, christians and muslim, have been killed daily by the Isreali's for decades. And no another attempt at peace which the Palestinians have fully accepted but Isreal cannot handle without making some changes. Why are the Muslims considered to be the bad guys in this?

Al-Queda would LOVE to discredit these groups.

These groups are the biggest threat to the existence of Al-Queda because they want them stopped. Al-Queda has a 'bloodthirst" created by the war against the USSR in Afghanistan. The thirst will not go away, just shift focus. Al-Queda is no more Muslim than the KKK is Christian (which they claim they are.)

Well, if you see someone that is dressed like an Arab, chances are pretty slim they are the terrorist. They would not make themselves stand out like that. They will blend in and look like your average ordinary person on the street.

There is TWO VERSIONS to the Quran.......one that the scum read and live by and one that the muslims in this country read and live by.

I used to work with a guy from Afghanistan(sp). He was a great person and was the first to say "these radicals are NOT true muslims".

You just never know what's in a persons heart until it is too late.

Very true. People fail to realize that the root of the hatred toward the American government in the Arab world is the isue of Isreal and Palestine. When they can fix this problem the hatred for the government will disappear. This is not a religious war, it's a land dispute.

What I meant in my posting earlier, that included the statement "Kill all the Infidels", I tried to qualify as the blurring of the radicals fanatics and fundimentalists' views from their belief in the Koran.
No, it doesn't say that in the Koran, it just seems these groups take some passage or scripture from it and bend it to their cause; use it to their liking as a justification.
I don't doubt there are millions of peaceful Muslims , in and out of this country; it's only the other million or so, who call themselves Muslims who want to "off" the rest of us using terror tactics.
Good point JH, about the fact that if ever there was an opportunistic moment for terroristic attack, it would be at this event. Let's hope not.
