MD ammunition tax bill: .05$ a round

The bill has been basically killed by the committee with an "unfavorable" vote.
Thank you to everyone who wrote letters or called the delegates. They were reportedly overwhelmed, impressed and greatly influenced with the letters, calls and the eventual decent sized showing at the hearing.
This just goes to show that in MD it is possible to get favorable gun laws passed as well as long as we show them we are watching and remind them that we vote.

Good news.

Question, how could this bill have an unfavorable report issued on 3/3 when it is only 3/1?

Next official business day I assume. In other words the information was probably released on Friday night (sometimes at one AM) meant to be read on Monday morning as I understand it.

Okay, I thought it might have been that Maryland suffered some form of ED with pre-mature legislation.

Hold on a second, no favorable gun law was passed just a stupid unfavorable gun law was not passed, big difference.

As I posted already, yes, huge difference. But the momentum is changing apparently. What seemed impossible just twelve years ago seems very possible now.
Hell, what seemed impossible just six years ago seems very possible now.
The only thing keeping us from progressing further is the status quo of defeatism which is changing as we speak.

When bullets cost five grand a piece, there will be some very rich, manufacturing black marketeers.

The Filipino “Army of Liberation” (solely drawn from the northern Christian provinces of the islands) was poorly armed, with only about one rifle for every three-to-four of its soldiers. An even bigger problem for the rebels was lack of ammunition; due to lack of funds and the efficiency of the U.S. Navy in catching and deterring gun-runners. The Army of Liberation generally had to rely on making its own bullets, using home-made black powder and brass curtain rods.

If you are not worried about crime in your neighborhood enough to move too, then why the hell do you have a gun for protection?
