Your return has been received and is being processed. Refund status is updated once daily at approximately 10:30 a.m.
If you need additional assistance or have questions about your return you may contact Taxpayer Service at 410-260-7980 from Central Maryland or at 1-800-MD TAXES from elsewhere. Assistance is available Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. From February 1 - April 15 we experience extremely high call volume. As an alternative, you can send an email to taxhelp@comp.state.md.us and receive an answer in 2-3 business days.

Again. I called. "Once a return has received it takes 72-90 hours to process". Well, it has been far more than that. I had every intention of staying on hold for however long it took to get a live person, BUT they've reached their maximum people on hold and I must call back later. Mother ####!

My typical story, too. :buddies:

I'm only getting a little over $100 back and those effers haven't processed my return yet, going on 4 weeks now. It could have something to do with the energy credit - had I not used that credit, I would have had to write a check this year.

You shouldn't be disappoointed at getting $100 back. That's an indication that you did a good job filling out your W4 along with the energy credit and avoided giving the govt an interest free loan all year. You might want to adjust your withholding for this coming year though so you don't owe a year from now. I owe feds $300 and am getting $1300 back from MD for a net refund of $1000. That's too much to be getting back so I'm going to make some adjustments on withholding.

You know taxes changed this year right? You may want to double check your stuff before going around making changes in your withholding based on this year's tax returns and then really screwing yourself next year.
