Md Tax Refund

I think every single one of us, who can claim a deduction or get a credit at some point on their taxes (home owners, college loans, kids, medical expenses, home business, donations, etc) has done so. No shame in my game. If I can claim it I will, just like everybody else.

However, that doesn't mean I agree with our tax system. It's all jacked up and it's all wrong. There shouldn't be these credits and deductions and what all. IMHO, if we have to pay these illegal taxes, then there should be a flat tax in order to make the process simpler and fair for everybody.

But as long as this is our tax system and as long as these credits/deductions et al are offered, every single one of us is taking advantage of what we can to get the best tax rate for ourselves and our families in order to not owe and to hopefully get some money back.
Preach it, sistah girl! :high5:

My track record of being a FAIR TAX supporter is well documented on the forums. But turn down the credits or tax breaks already in existence? Yeah, cut off my nose to spite my face? Right

Hey thatguy- I'll post the pic of my new kitchen tile floor when it's done so you can see your tax dollas at work. :neener:

I check the status every day a little after 10:30. Just like every day for the past 5 days, I see this:

Your return has been received and is being processed. Refund status is updated once daily at approximately 10:30 a.m.
If you need additional assistance or have questions about your return you may contact Taxpayer Service at 410-260-7980 from Central Maryland or at 1-800-MD TAXES from elsewhere. Assistance is available Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. From February 1 - April 15 we experience extremely high call volume. As an alternative, you can send an email to taxhelp@comp.state.md.us and receive an answer in 2-3 business days.

Maybe I'm not following what you are trying to say.

She isn't trying to take a tax benefit that she isn't legally entitled to take. She's not breaking any laws, nor is she doing anything that any family wouldn't do if in the same situation. And if she *were* doing something illegal or improper, don't you think that she'd be audited for any discrepancy that was found?

With money so hard to earn, isn't it prudent for someone to keep as much of it as possible, legally speaking?

Or do you have another point that I am simply not getting?

all of the "hood rats" are doing exactly the same thing, the only difference is that they didn't spend the last several years rallying against Obama and his redistribution of wealth.

if you (aps, bann, ETC, etc) are going to scream and moan about redistribution of wealth, you sholdn't be on the recieving end of that very same system. I am just pointing out that they are all part of the hated 47%, and no excuses change that.

.

What tax deductions are you elligible to take that you voluntarily do not? How much additional income tax do you pay that you are not required to pay?

:yeahthat: He'd hate to see my tax returns from the past few years. Do I think that I'm entiled to my huge tax returns, no. Did I earn them, no. Did I refuse them, hell no.

Funny how aps was such a romeny man but he turns out to be one of the lowly 47%

Maybe if we had someone with a history of success running the country I wouldn't have been reduced to part time seasonal employment.

... and there is a difference between income and assets

 Wrong as always

I didn't spend the last several decades receiving any benefits from the tax system and I still don't want wealth redistributed.

i dont have a problem with EIC. I have a problem with hypocrites who scream about obama and wealth redistribution but then are found suckling at the federal teat come tax time.

you got the wrong person, i didn't vote for either of the liberals in the race, you did.

"all you did" was accept a redistribution of wealth, just like all those hood rats who have more kids than they can afford.

Keep rockin the 47%
