Yeah, Not Gonna Happen: Taxpayer-Supported PBS Implores Americans to Abandon 'Fossil Fuel Grills'

Let's first just cut to the chase:

Oh, hell no — you can have my awesome new Weber gas grill when pry it from my cold dead hands.

We "climate destroyers" can't seem to do anything without the climate scolds trying to suck the fun out of every bit of life — either by attempting to guilt-shame us, or by shoving their "climate-friendly" alternatives down our throats.

Memorial Day weekend presented a perfect opportunity for the ever-pretentious climate catastrophizers of taxpayer-supported PBS to press Americans to kick their "fossil fuel grills" to the curb in favor of "climate-friendly" electric grills.

Again, in my climate-destroying [ahem] world, that just ain't gonna happen. No way, no how.

Anyway, NPR "Climate Desk" correspondent Jeff Brady wrote:

Goody gumdrops for those "some people."

On the other hand, I will stick to grilling — either on my gas grill or my Weber Kettle, and if I'm hungry for smoked brisket, I'll fire up the wood-chip-fueled smoker, thank you very much.

Brady continued:
My grandfather had an electric grill in the late 70s. It was treat for us kids, because our family had no grill at all. He would cook burgers and they were the closest to BK burgers that I've ever tasted. He would also deep fry those mashed potato formed into caterpillar shapes. Good, good eating for teen.

Fox News, AP, CNN, Others Ran With Massive Hamas-Sourced Fake News, Then the Surveillance Video Came Out

The Associated Press has even been running "death toll" updates, all sourced by Hamas-controlled "health officials."

One "witness," quoted by Fox News, says he saw 10 dead bodies after Israeli "warships, tanks, and drones" opened fire on the crowd. The absurdity of that assertion alone should have been enough to raise red flags for all these press outlets that rushed to publish those claims. If "warships, tanks, and drones" had started shooting indiscriminately into a mass of people, there'd be a heck of a lot more people dead than the 31 currently being claimed. We are also supposed to believe that such a massacre took place, but that not a single person in the vicinity captured it on video.

Well, except someone did capture video of the exact time of the supposed war crime on video. Guess what it showed?

To recap, major news outlets, including Fox News, ran with a completely unsubstantiated tale of IDF forces carrying out a mass attack on civilians trying to collect aid. They didn't ask for any proof before spewing claims that were obviously sourced by Hamas. Further, one day prior, Hamas told the United States that any ceasefire deal must include the cessation of current aid distribution. Why? Because when the terrorists don't control the aid, it strips them of their control over the people. Yet, these "news outlets" still uncritically reported a made-up blood libel about an aid center being the site of a massacre.

This harkens back to the mass of false reporting in November of 2023 about Israel supposedly bombing a hospital and killing at least 700 people. By the next day, it was made clear that not only was there no bombing by Israel (a Palestinian Jihad rocket had fallen short in an adjoining parking lot), but that the actual death toll was around 25 people. Yet, CNN, the AP, Fox News, and the rest continue to cite the "Gaza Health Ministry" despite its long history of lying to prop up Hamas. What an absolute disgrace the press is.

David French at The New York Times, Jennifer Rubin at The Washington Post (well ... not anymore), Michael Steele on MSNBC, Ana Navarro on The View, the list goes on, and it's not fooling anyone. Conservatives have this annoying tendency to exercise critical thinking. We can see right through these people to understand that they have trashed whatever conservative principles they once held (if they ever really did) to embrace leftism and be part of the media 'In' crowd.

One of the worst of the lot (and that's saying something) is David Brooks of The New York Times and PBS. He is shameless. In recent times, he has announced his love for Joe Biden and for activist judges who obstruct ICE agents.

How 'conservative' of him.

This weekend, however, Brooks reached a new revolting low when he compared Elon Musk to some of the worst mass murderers in history. Watch:

POLITICO Magazine has published a piece by Thomas E. Ricks, the author of 10 books, the most recent of which is a political thriller set in Maine. The headline is, "What Pete Hegseth Gets Wrong About 'Warfighting'," but the real kicker is the subhead: "Combat? That’s actually not what we want our armed forces to do."

Weeping and wailing? Over what?

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is fond of talking about the need to focus on “warfighting.” He wants “lethality,” bigtime.
That sounds tough, so it plays well on Fox News.
But let me tell you why it is wrong. The more you know about military operations, the more you understand that you don’t want to focus on fighting. That gets people killed — like your kids or grandkids.

Ricks doesn't mention any military service or combat in his X bio, so we're not sure how much he knows about military operations.

Why? Well, as General George Patton supposedly said, “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.” The worst way to go to war is by flinging your people into combat — “warfighting,” as the tattooed and tough-talking former TV commentator puts it. You don’t do frontal assaults against an entrenched and bunkered enemy — as happened on “D- Day” — because you want to, but because you absolutely have no other choice.
Yes, force readiness is great. But the best way to win wars is by helping other countries be ready. You train them, you equip them, you supply them. You conduct joint maneuvers in peacetime with them, so everyone understands each other. Preparing our allies also makes them less susceptible to being overrun by their (and our) enemies. A lesson that the world is learning the hard way in Ukraine.

It's funny watching MSNBC try and make a case for continuing funding for NPR and PBS by claiming those uneducated, unwashed masses out in the boondocks can only get their information from the publicly-funded leftist rag.

What's funny is they don't seem to understand that this argument RIGHT HERE is why we absolutely should not be paying for these networks.

Hey, I know, maybe those hillbilies out in the boondocks will send them a check during one of their upcoming fundraisers since you know, it's their only option for information.

Yesterday an Egyptian national who overstayed his via and was in the U.S. illegally was charged with using what was described as a makeshift flamethrower and Molotov cocktails in an antisemitic attack in Boulder, Colorado:

He said he drove about 100 miles from his Colorado Springs home to Boulder on Sunday and picked up gas at a gas station on the way, the documents said.
He allegedly used a "makeshift flamethrower" and threw an incendiary device into a crowd of pro-Israel demonstrators at a pedestrian mall, according to the FBI. He allegedly yelled "Free Palestine" during the attack, the FBI said.
A video posted on social media during the attack showed Soliman holding what appeared to be Molotov cocktails and saying, "How many children killed" and "end Zionist," according to the court documents.

The attacker also reportedly yelled "free Palestine," which of course meant some in the media, and even the Boulder police chief, were initially baffled as to what the motive could have been.

If you're wondering if anybody in the media would somehow find a way to play connect-the-dots with this story and make it lead to Elon Musk, wonder no more! NBC News' Justice and Intel correspondent Ken Dilanian managed to get that done:
