Introducing the reporters to his CNN show The Lead, Tapper welcomed “two of the heroic reporters that were covering this intensely during the Biden years, Annie Linskey and Siobhan Hughes,” who “reported on the decline of Biden’s acuity back in June of last year.”

Tapper then remarked, “I said it last year before the election, and I’ll say it again, the journalism you did was vital, and the smear campaign by Democrats against you two is disgraceful. So thanks for being here.”

Asking the two reporters whether they felt “vindicated” when their story was seemingly proven true following Biden’s disastrous performance in the first 2024 presidential debate against Donald Trump, Linskey replied, “Yeah, I mean, I do. I do feel that our reporting has been vindicated, you know, particularly after that first story came out and there was such blowback by Democrats, and really ten minutes into that debate, I know that my phone was blowing up with some people apologizing for their criticism of us, and you know, from there we were off and running.”

She continued, “So there is a vindication, but it was just really gut-wrenching reporting, and it was a difficult period, but an important one, and I’m glad we did it.”

Now, if they met, it's pretty hard to call that a snub, but that's how they tried to spin it anyway. They seem not to notice it's the Pope's inauguration, so he has a lot going on and many leaders to meet. Of course, this is about stoking some illusion that the Pope hates Vance to make Vance look bad. But that's ridiculous since that goes against the whole nature of being Pope. They don't seem to get that their scenario would make the Pope look bad, that they're inherently attacking the Pope without realizing it.

This isn't the first time they've tried this and printed absolute nonsense about Vance. The Daily Beast previously accused him of violating a rule about taking pictures in the Sistine Chapel. After excoriating him in a story, buried deep down in the story was the fact that Vance had permission. He was with Vatican officials.

It turns out that the media's spin was even worse than one might think when pictures and video came out on Monday of the private meeting that Vance had with Pope Leo. Secretary of State Marco Rubio was also in the meeting.

When we recently checked on Media Matters in August, Elon Musk and X had won a court victory in their case against Media Matters, which was being sued for gaming the system to scare away advertisers by showing them their ads next to X posts with ugly neo-Nazi content. Media "watchdog" Media Matters is nothing more than a left-wing organization trying to silence right-wing organizations.

A day after the 2024 election, Media Matters president Angelo Carusone unleashed a diatribe on the "right wing misinformation engine” that had captured the minds of Trump voters, who "actually believe that a vote for Donald Trump is a vote for democracy." Too bad, buddy; voters didn't buy what you were selling.

The media pounces on a small Trump error to distract from the bigger truth about South Africa​

As you’ve no doubt heard, when South Africa’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, appeared in the White House yesterday, President Trump challenged him on the fact that South Africa’s white farmers are being targeted with a new land confiscation law, and are also the victims of targeted attacks, another layer of hazard in a land rife with violent crime. It’s for this reason that Trump gave visas to a paltry 58 white South Africans, sending the Democrats—the same ones who’ve been complacent as upwards of 32 million illegal aliens breached our borders—into paroxysms of race-based rage.

When Ramaphosa denied that white South Africans are being officially and unofficially targeted, Trump said au contraire, and brought out the receipts. After Trump showed a video of a huge rally during which South African politician Julius Malema led the tens of thousands of assembled rally-goers in an old apartheid-era chant of “Kill the Boer, kill the farmer,” reporters instantly tried to change the subject by talking about the jet Qatar is giving to the U.S. government, Trump dragged it back to South Africa, flipping through a stack of articles his aides had handed him.

Three of those sources are from American Thinker. One might be this essay by Olivia Murray, although it’s a little hard to tell. The other is this one, which I wrote: “Let’s talk about Africa, which is where tribalism takes you.”

The point of my post is that the Democrat party’s efforts to bring racial tribalism to America can only lead to disaster, and I pointed to Africa as an example of the societal collapse that comes from focusing on tribalism.

The Insider published a so-called “investigation” into Trump’s supposed cognitive issues during his second term. It enlisted several mental health professionals to support their narrative. Dr. Bandy Lee, formerly of Yale University, claimed the president is showing clear signs of early dementia. These signs include reduced vocabulary, incoherence, impulsivity, and “paraphasias,” which is when someone replaces incorrect or distorted words with the intended ones.

President Trump is no spring chicken. But even at 78 years old, he clearly does not have dementia. Anyone can see that Trump does not have anything close to the same issues Biden has.

But the media still needs that distraction, even though Biden is no longer in office. Why? Because they have been lying about Biden’s condition for four years, and now, some journalists have decided to be honest about it.

The fact that the media and the Democratic Party tried to deceive the American public about Biden’s issues is not exactly a good look for the left. So now, they have to pretend the same thing is happening with President Trump to create an illusion of moral equivalency. It won’t work, of course. But this never stopped them from trying before, has it?

As I see it, there were three big stories this week: the media’s pretense that it was ignorant of Biden’s infirmities when it mattered; the cold-blooded assassination in D.C. of two young employees of the Israeli embassy, and the president’s refusal to join in the whitewashing of the genocide in South Africa. Examination of the details of these events reveals beyond the possibility of doubt that the mainstream press here and abroad is guided by anti-truth, antisemitic, anti-white, and anti-Western civilization animus. The press deserves a harsh reckoning: ignore them, drive down circulation and views, expose their lies and agenda.

The announcement this week that former President Biden has late-stage prostate cancer revived last week’s claim by Jake Tapper and others that they were unaware of Biden’s obvious infirmities while he ran for president and served as the zombie head of the auto pen corps. Utter nonsense. We all saw it, and there are many videos of Tapper and other media figures telling us to ignore the evidence of our own eyes. In doing so, as I explain, they played into the hands of those like Congressman James Clyburn who wished to destroy us with leftist policies and personnel.

Yeah, Not Gonna Happen: Taxpayer-Supported PBS Implores Americans to Abandon 'Fossil Fuel Grills'​

Let's first just cut to the chase:

Oh, hell no — you can have my awesome new Weber gas grill when pry it from my cold dead hands.

We "climate destroyers" can't seem to do anything without the climate scolds trying to suck the fun out of every bit of life — either by attempting to guilt-shame us, or by shoving their "climate-friendly" alternatives down our throats.

Memorial Day weekend presented a perfect opportunity for the ever-pretentious climate catastrophizers of taxpayer-supported PBS to press Americans to kick their "fossil fuel grills" to the curb in favor of "climate-friendly" electric grills.

Again, in my climate-destroying [ahem] world, that just ain't gonna happen. No way, no how.

Anyway, NPR "Climate Desk" correspondent Jeff Brady wrote:

Electric grills are a climate-friendly option to fossil fuel grills. Summer grilling usually starts with filling a propane tank or buying a bag of charcoal briquettes. But some people are ditching these fuels for a more climate-friendly electric grill.

Goody gumdrops for those "some people."

On the other hand, I will stick to grilling — either on my gas grill or my Weber Kettle, and if I'm hungry for smoked brisket, I'll fire up the wood-chip-fueled smoker, thank you very much.

Brady continued:

Just before dinner recently, Stoio Kachev wheeled his electric grill across his family's backyard patio to an electrical outlet, plugged it in and hit the power button.
"You can choose what temperature you want," Kachev says, setting it to 500 degrees Fahrenheit on the digital display. "So you see it's at 152 now and it'll take about 15 minutes to get to 500."
On the menu are two family favorites. "We are making some Bulgarian short ribs, and we're going to make some Vietnamese pork belly," says Doanh Nghiem. She and Kachev say convenience is the main reason they switched to an electric grill.

A video surfaced on X over the weekend of the "60 Minutes" anchor's May 19 speech to the graduating class of 2025 at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, in which he makes a series of insane claims about the state of America now under Trump. During Pelley's entire rant, he avoids actually naming the president.

"But in this moment, this morning, our sacred rule of law is under attack," Pelley said with no example as to what he was talking about. "Journalism is under attack. Universities are under attack. Freedom of speech is under attack."

"And insidious fear is reaching through our schools," he added, again with no exact reference to what he was talking about. "Our businesses, our homes, and into our private thoughts. The fear to speak in America!"

At one point, he even referenced, among other things, Trump's crackdown on the insanity of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) efforts in schools, businesses, and government.

"Power can rewrite history with grotesque false narratives," the CBS anchor said. "They can make criminals heroes and heroes criminals. Power can change the definition of the words we use to describe reality."

"Diversity is now described as illegal," he added. "Equity is to be shunned. Inclusion is a dirty word. This is an old playbook, my friends. There's nothing new in this."

I have Ninja smoker/grill, which is electric, and I can tell you first hand that trying to grill a ribeye on it is a waste of a good steak. Electric grills don't give you any char, which misses the whole point of grilling meat. I like my Ninja and use it all the time for chicken, pork, seafood, etc, and especially for smoking meats, but I'm going to get a small charcoal grill specifically for grilling steaks or burgers.

There is NOTHING like good old fashioned flame, and all those hippies who say electric is just as good also eat tofurkey and other vile hippie food. No wonder they're so cranky all the time.
