You referred specifically to the workplace, but now I'm thinking about how women express dominance and power in the home. Unfortunately I come up with scenarios, then talk myself out of them. The biggest muscle flexing I see women do is using their physical attributes to manipulate men. THAT works almost every time. The second biggest is using kids as pawns to control the husband or ex-husband. The third biggest is to bitch him into submission.

But we were talking about sexually victimizing children as an expression of power, and it's rare for women to do that. They'll physically abuse their children, and emotionally abuse them, but sexual abuse is rare.

And that's as far as I can go until I've finished my coffee.

I'm in the "mental illness" camp on this one.

I do think that a lot (and I mean a LOT) more women are involved than are reported. If we are talking VERY young (and, I think we are when you say pedophile and prepubescent), then I think baby sitters, mothers, aunties, etc., who give kids baths or shower with them when they are way old enough to handle it themselves, and go into changing rooms to help kids change clothes who could do it themselves, etc., are doing little else than satisfying some kind of repressed sexual urge. When men do it to little boys or girls, there's an outcry, literally, because there's generally some kind of penetration. When women do it, it generally is no more than fondling, so it is not quite the same to the child. And, since women are socially-expected to be in a role of care-giving, it is often easily overlooked.

What makes someone mentally ill could be chemical, could be environmental, could be a combination. That's why we have both MD-level psychiatrists to help with the physical issues and therapists to help with the psychological issues.

Personally, I agree with whomever said it - we need more mental health providers and capabilities in our world, with less stigma than a mental health issue has. But, for their own good and the good of those around them, the same person said to separate them from the rest of society, and I agree with that as well (until they are either cured or their symptoms are disposed of).

Yes, I find it perverse, obviously they wouldn't be doing it if there wasn't a market.
But I have to point the fingers back at the parents - plural - they should be saying no, stop. But they probably only see $
The kids are probably more aware of wrong and right than the adults because the adults are making money off the children.

I also think there is a big difference between an adult who fantasizes about sex with an underage (or even age inappropriate) female and the observation that girl in your child's six grade class does not look like a sixth grade girl when you were in school.

By the way, "age inappropriate' would be any female significantly younger than you, good measure if they are about the same age as your child, they are probably to young - and I'm talking about adult children.

It can't be a simple matter of batshit crazy because women are just as batshit but it rarely manifests itself in preying on children. Batshit women will allow their boyfriend of the moment to sexually victimize their children, but they rarely do it themselves. Which ties into your theory of power nicely.

See? I knew we could have a productive discussion about this and generate some valid ideas on the subject.

Look who promotes, and controls, all this societal damaging poison in nearly every magazine. Those who control, attempting to normalize and promote these negative and disgraceful human attributes, and activities, in newspaper articles and news programs. Look to find who controls nearly all the porn sites. Look at who defends and promotes these type of shows. Research, look and find, and you will come to the conclusion that they sure as hell are not Christians, or even atheists, but those that worship at the Synagogue of Satan.

Then you will begin to understand how some men, contrary to a possible good morale upbringing, may be programmed after the constant bombardment of such movies and shows, may actually start to think it's somewhat normal to want a very young girl. Or an older woman seducing a young man in middle or high school. Also, that those, many, who engage in this deviant behavior, are also the very ones that worship at the Synagogue of Satan. You do the research yourself. If you can handle and deal with the truth, that is.

You also might find while conducting your research, that these are the very same people sowing division, fomenting hate between the races, racial discord — and leading and promoting the violence. Those of whom, are the architects of BLM and Antifa. Those that push Critical Race Theory and promote, and, attempt to normalize, Drag Queen Story Hour for children that are 1, 2, 3, 4 years old, in almost every public library. Exposing developing minds to this evil trash. Is it any wonder some grow up to be deviants? Also, find out who the majority of those that are members and supporters of NAMBLA, (The North American Man/Boy Love Association). Find who they are, those that twist the news into a narrative counter to good moral harmony.

I've mentioned that we've been binge watching Bewitched, and it jumps out just how much times have changed since then with regard to how men treat women. Darrin yells at Samantha and belittles her; numerous men are grabby and smoochy with women; in fact most of the men on the show are jerks by today's standards. But they weren't considered jerks back then - they were normal. It was normal to paw strange women and literally chase them around begging for a kiss. It was normal for the man to be a dick and the woman to placate him instead of telling him to knock it the hell off. When the husband slobbered over some other woman, it was "boys will be boys".

There were exceptions to the rule - Beaver's dad didn't talk to June like that or act like an ass. Andy didn't act like that to Helen (although Barney did act like that to Thelma Lou). But Oliver was quite condescending to Lisa. Even if you watch Brady Bunch reruns you'd want to punch Mike's sexist pig face for him. We won't even discuss Tony and his rude behavior toward Jeannie (or her complete subservience).

So is that behavior social, and we've changed our norms; or is it biology and we've tamped it down in modern men, who secretly long for the days when they could talk like chit to their wife and she'd just take it?

Or maybe boys were long raised to be men that protected and respected women, prior to the creation of television. With the invention of television, over the decades and decades and decades, minds have been slowly re-programmed. Movies soon followed suit. Recall, Gone with the Wind? At the time, just saying the word, "damn", was blasphemy. It has been with the slow insertion of "diversity" in television and the movies, that has altered the population mindset. Everything given an acceptable excuse for whatever abhorrent content. It's avant-garde, or, people are to old fashioned, we're just keeping up with the times, or, don't be such a prude, we all were told. Many even scolded by friends when challenging a show, or a movie's morality.

Parents today, trying to properly raise their children, are constantly battling the immorality shoved at their children from all avenues 24/7. The problem with your theory is that poor treatment of women predates the invention of TV. Back in the day men could beat their wives, who were not allowed to vote in elections or own property. Women would get raped and not even bother to report it because cops wouldn't do anything about it, and she'd be treated like it was her fault.

I mean, you're right though - our culture may have advanced in some areas, but we have definitely deteriorated in others.

And not to keep harping on this but it's the "progressives" and "liberals" who've ushered that in, and it's absolutely demeaning to women and black people in particular. Women's lib was a great idea, but once the goal was achieved the elites couldn't stop (because what else are they going to do for a living?) and they overcorrected to the point that now men can be women, too. Black people are almost always negatively portrayed in movies as drug dealers, illiterate morons, and criminals - and who writes, produces, and acts in those movies?
