Does any one here know how great the Jesus Seminar is??
It is a group that tries to get to the real truth out of the Bible's New Testiment.
Christ did tell us to seek the truth. Here is a link to it at,
The Best Jesus Seminar Website.
We have Bible scholars and scholarly criticism which disects the scripture to dig the truth out. Many people find it difficult to face the reality that parts of the Bible is wrong and parts are fake, but I do not, and scholars from the Jesus Seminar try to get the truth out of the scriptures and it is very interesting indeed.
One significant point is that back in the 19th century old German scholars first discovered the synoptic problem in the Gospels. The 3 Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke are the 3 synoptic Gospels because they write about the same times and events synoptically. The scholars discovered the Gospel of Mark is the original of all the others. Then came Matthew and Luke which had to use Mark's writings in order to write their versions.
The Synoptic Problem shown just a little down this web page, click here.
Plus there is the missing Q sourse that both Matthew and Luke's Gospels used but Mark did not use. There is a scholar noted at the Jesus Seminar that thinks the Gospel of Matthew is the real Q source that Luke used and it is a strong argument indeed as opposed to a missing Q source.
Mark was accually the apprentice to the appostle Peter and so it is reasoned that the Gospel of Mark is actually the story that Peter told to Mark and then Mark wrote the first Gospel which came from Peter.
Anybody on here know about scholar research??
We must seek the truth.
