Yep. Hindsight is 20/20 vision.

You can do geothermal wells at any time and they don't have to be deep. That is a fallacy. You can run a trench type that is only a couple of feet below the frost line in the soil. The temperature there is constant at about 55 degrees; very efficient for a heat pump.

Without global warming and Anna nicole they would have nothing to do a news report on. SO create mass fear of one solid thought and then you have a nice way to fill time. Il bet in about 15 years it will be about global cooling again.

The problem is
1) A global increase in temperatures is fact.
2) this increase is due to the spike in greenhouse gases since the industrial revolution is theory.
3) Dems and environmentalists use this theory to say that it is fact.
4) Republicans hate dems so much, they will not even admit to number 1.


Leave it all to scientists and they will actually figure out what is happening without excess taxes, legislation etc.

The Global Warming Hysteria has become a billion dollar industry - those fighting for grant money - will continue to shrill louder and longer, countries looking to take the US down a notch or 3 economically, there by improving their position will continue to push - ie. China and India who amazingly are not required to reduce emissions @ all - i read that China is building Coal Fired Electrical Plants @ such a prodigious rate they will out strip the US in electrical generation if a few short years ...........

So while the demand that we roll back to pre 1990 Kyoto levels China and India Merrily roll on building more power plants while American Industry would be made to cut back causing untold economic damage to our economy ........... buying and selling emissions credits has also been compared to wealth transfer to countries with no major industry - like a new global tax on prosperous nations

In 2004 the total greenhouse gas emissions from China were about 54% of the USA emissions. China is now building on average a coal-fired power plant every week and plans to continue doing so for years. Some predictions (in 2006) are that China will emit more greenhouse gas than the USA in 2 or 3 years

By chance, I got to listen to this yesterday on C-SPAN radio. Regardless of which side you fall on this issue, it was a real good discussion.
