Aaaaaaa…. My 21st birthday. I was working for a UNISYS production support team on base. They took me to Pat’s Bar for a surprise birthday luncheon. They kept feeding me Jack and Coke… :otter: they even hired a flasher… a few bikers happened to be in the bar at the same time and the look on their face when the guy opened his trenchcoat and bellowed, “Happy birthday!” was priceless…:roflmao: We left around three and I stumbled to the passenger seat of my friend’s car and slammed the door with my fist full of ties that were attached to a beautiful bouquet of helium balloons… little did I realize I left the balloon portion of this bouquet on the outside of the car. Seeing that I needed help, my friend opened the door so he could stuff the balloons in with me. He handed me the leftover birthday cake he was holding and I proceeded to toss it over my shoulder into the back seat (I spent the next day cleaning his car…:bawl:) I don’t remember much more from that point tho…:blushing:

4Oth. That was day I looked at myself in the mirror and didn't know the person looking back at me.

Until my last BD  it was my 10th one. My mother baked me a big 'ole chocolate cake. :yum:

I went to my Girl Scouts meeting that afternoon. When I came home I found out my older brother had licked every speck of frosting off that sucker. :bawl:

21st was fun - did upside down margaritas at the house we rented in college.. I never made it to the bar (legally) for the first time as a 21 year-old that night - ended up hurling in a parking lot of a "Pic N' Pay" :lmao:

25 sucked - not where I wanted to be - though I remembered the weather was BEAUTIFUL and I also remember thinking that God must have made that day just for me...

30 - eh.. my ex did the standard "old" gag gifts then took me to an amusement park.. :ohwell:

35 - that will happen this year... I remember as a kid thinking I'd never live to see 35... so we'll see... maybe this will be my year! :peace:

I don't think I've had one yet. My parents didn't do birthday parties. As an adult my birthday seems to always fall on a work day. When I was married, the ex took me out for a few birthdays but I couldn't relax and enjoy them because he always got incredibly drunk and I'd end up taking care of him. And they ask why I'm divorced. :lmao:

Sounds like mine with the exception of the ex taking me out. She never did.
