Maxine Waters Cancels Events Due To 'Very Serious Death Threat,' Cites Trump's 'Lie'

After calling for more personal harassment of Trump Cabinet members, Democratic Congresswoman says she has been forced to cancel two upcoming events due to a "very serious death threat," which she suggested was prompted by President Trump's "lie" about her.

"As the President has continued to lie and falsely claim that I encouraged people to assault his supporters, while also offering a veiled threat that I should 'be careful', even more individuals are leaving (threatening) messages and sending hostile mail to my office," she said in a statement reported by CNN.

Though Waters says she's been the target of threats in the past, she claims they have increased since her widely criticized call for more harassment of members of the Trump administration. Last weekend, Waters caused a stir when she celebrated the news of White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders being asked to leave a restaurant because she's a member of the Trump administration. At a toy drive event Saturday, Waters called for more personal targeting of Cabinet members.

That's a blast from the past! Bruzilla is the reason I came out of lurkdom and started posting. In those days I only lurked and followed mostly the Politics and Local News treads. I took issue woth something he said once and felt compelled to debate him. :lol:

I do too and I advocate they stop letting these people sit in prison and get the job done .
Dead is dead.
Why let them sit waiting for some special death cocktail and judging whether it is humane.
Nothing is any quicker or more painless than splattering their brain with buckshot.

How that makes me as bad as a murderer I don't know, but any executioner that gets the job done kills the perpetrator, and you advocate it.
So please tell me how you are different because you want them euthanized with a needle, electric chair or hanged or shot by firing squad.

I know what you are getting at,It isn't high on your moral "feelings".
But eliminating a problem is not so bad, Prison guards are safer, we aren't feeding killers.Dead people do not commit more crime
There are more and better arguments perhaps, but their mere conviction for murder and the death penalty says Get rid of them
Why be queasy about how. I only suggested a quick way. There are many other quick ways, Hell ,overdose them with Heroin
So many do that themselves it must be a great way to go. Do that i don't care. Only do it expeditiously.
Sitting on death row for 15 years is cruel and unusual. Well not unusual but cruel.

About Vengeance I don'e have a problem with that. Rape my daughter I want you dead. Is that vengeance? I suppose it is.
I still don't have a problem with it.

If a person is convicted of a Capitol crime and ordered to be executed he should get a new trial,within 6 months. A new attorney , and new prosecutor, new Judge and Jury a second trial, within 6 months. If convicted the second time he/she is executed the next day.

Honestly, I dont care how they are executed, let the families of the victims decide that fate. As long as I'm not feeding and educating them, doesn't matter to me. How do you explain rewarding murderous behavior by giving free room & board, free health care, free education. Yes sir!! that's a real deterrent!! Kind of our like immigration polices, come to think of it!

I fully agree. But I see both points - putting down a 'rabid dog' because they are dangerous, AND setting an example to other would-be criminals.
I had to look it up, but I knew the Bible had something to say on speedy punishment. Ecclesiastes 8:11 When the sentence for a crime is not speedily executed, the hearts of men become fully set on doing evil.
