Bobcats and Panthers sound like a baby crying. A Panther can also sound like a woman screaming.
I hope I never hear a woman scream like a mountain lion can! People just say that because they can't think of anything closer, but in reality it's a lot different. They modulate their shrieks to make it sound weider than sh!t.

Spots or no spots? Bobcats are spotted Mountain Lions are not. MY husband swears to God, he has seen Bobcats on the farm.

ed, many forums over many years and I have yet to convince people that if someone in maryland is bit by a recluse, it came in on luggage from another state.
however, if we keep having the warm winters it is not unlikely that the range is going to shift for the recluse.
on a side note, I had one guy that was trying to convince me that I was wrong when I told him that black snakes and copperheads were not mating with each other. He thought that because they share the same den in the winter (and the do) that they were interbreeding.. dont let facts like live birth and egg layer get in the way.
