Patch said:OK, now that you've given me some technical answers, how many people LIKE living in Southern, MD? Why or why not?
I think it's great! Nice climate (well, most of the time), some nice bicycling routes, lotsa fishing and water sports, it's about 1&1/2 to 2 hours drive to Wash DC where there's oodles of cultural stuff, not to mention the nice fishing tackle salesmen who greet you by saying "Dee Baa Gaa, Cap'm!"Patch said:OK, now that you've given me some technical answers, how many people LIKE living in Southern, MD? I hear it quite frequently in places like bait & tackle shops. I just figure it's normal, like cows say "Moo" and pigs say "Oink" and southern Marylanders say "Dee Baa Gaa, Cap'm!"greyhound said:I have lived here all my life and have never heard "Dee Baa Gaa, Cap't"

And then I've heard folks from Long Island claim they've never heard their home town referred to as "Lawn Guyland" and folks from the Finger Lakes area of New York claim they've never heard anybody mention buying a new "beetery" for their "care" and folks from Nebraska who claim they've never heard anybody say they do their laundry in a "worshing" machine.greyhound said:"Deed by God"....![]()
If your goingto live here, get it right....![]()

I'm sorry if you are offended but the facts speak for themselves.

LexiGirl75 said:Not so much offended as having the WHOLE city ONLY being described as a high crime area. Not everyone who lives in Lex Pk is experiencing that. Just like many in PG and DC don't experience that. Believe it or not there are decent areas here where people are not experiencing that.
And to make it seem like the crime is happening all day long every day all over this city is just wrong. I won't say things don't happen here because there are areas that can be off the hook, but to try to scare people away from the entire city like it's a criminal war zone when it's more like certain neighborhoods is just unnecessary.
