Muhammad Guilty

Sorry about that chief.
Just wanted to be the first to let you know!

Guilty on all counts, how long until the appeal? Death penalty?

I'm confused as to why the trial didn't last 5 or 6 weeks or so. I thought most of the big media trials were that long. The OJ trial seemed to drag on forever, and I was glad when it was finally over. I declared the day of the verdict "No-J Day." I didn't care by that point whether he was innocent or guilty, just as long as he wasn't in the news anymore.

Honestly, we are all in line behind the family members of those taken.

Where have you been? The trial started in early October with jury selection and it is now mid-November. 7 hours of jury deliberation after closing arguments seemed extremely long to me. Bring back public hanging is what I say.

Execute him? I would rather see him cowering in fear, weeping pitifully and begging for forgiveness. I would rather take his soul than take his life.

7 hours is longer than I expected, but now, we sit and wait for the appeal. My son will be driving before this guy is fried.

This would only happen if there was remorse for his actions, I've seen no sign of that.

Drawing and quartering him is more like what I want to see.

Thanks, Ken. I was referring to presentation of evidence and cross-examination and so forth, not the preliminaries. For the sniper, I wasn't expecting a verdict until after Thanksgiving.

True. I find no justice in executing an unrepentant killer. I'm suggesting that we find a way to make him feel that remorse.

Opening arguments took place on the 20th of October, what was different was that the defense didn't offer up much. Probably because they couldn't and Muhammad baked his own cake when he was defending himself and said that he was there and they weren't.

Because punishment is not effective if the condemned doesn't fear it. I want to make this monster feel the same fear that everyone in the D.C. area felt during the shootings. I want to scare the hell out of any other ambulatory piece of offal who would even think of trying something similar.

I see your point, but in this case, lets save the money, he's defective.
