My Dog Ate What???

Had a dog just out of college that pulled the carpet back and then ate the padding underneath (as if the carpet wasn't good enough for her :lmao:). She also ate a calculator, pulled the wooden napkin rings off the napkins on the table and ate the rings, destroyed my cedar hope chest, chewed up every corner in my apartment and ate the edge all the way across the window sill. I still really miss her. :bawl:

:sarcasm:? oh that is never fun.... but all you have named... I HAVE SEEN!! :yay: I remember taking cactus thorns out of dogs mouth...

:faint: were they clean or dirty? :killingme oohh you are so lucky!!!

Oh he only likes the dirty ones...and the expensive Victorias Secret are his favorite. They were mine so it was ok that they were dirty, LOL. If I accidentally leave my bedroom door open then he will still pull them out of the dirty clothes basket, but he no longer eats them...apparently he just licks them and leaves them all over the living room floor:yahoo:

Other than those little problems he is a good dog though. He's good with the grandbabies when they visit (probably because he's realized they are at food snatching height), good with the cats, and nobody can come within 100 yards of my house that I don't know about it!!

For a while I thought he had even figured out that if I wasn't home that he should poop in the tub. First time it happened I was a couple hours late leaving work and nobody else was home to let him out, so I thought he must be a really smart dog to have figured that we poop in the bathroom so he should too. And the poop in the tub happened a few times over the past few months. THEN one day I was in the bathroom and my one cat came in there, jumped in the tub and took a crap...I was shocked to find out that those big poops came out of that cat AND that a 6 year old cat would all the sudden start doing that. Thats worse than all the stuff the dog eats. HEY at least the dog didn't go eat what was in the tub!!!

Rocky Mountain High!!
Our old rott boy ate the inside of a softball, which happened to be an elasticized string - he ate it like one looooong piece of spaghetti.

Per the vet's recommendation, we followed him around for DAYS clipping that elastic out, every time we pulled he screamed - it was tangled in the loops of intestines. :faint: finally the last section popped out with no cutting AND no scream. Whew. Game over.

My current rescue dog was left in my SUV for a while on 2 consecutive days and I had no idea that he would be interested in deer corn??? OMG I had no idea that over a period of 2 days he had torn open and eaten deer corn until he started pooping straight deer corn (OUCH?). I checked my SUV and found that over 1/2 the 50 lb bag apeared to be gone !!! I STILL find kernals of deer corn in my SUV .... months later !!!! Bad doggie LOL

Oh, I say I "beat" him, but I reall dont. Scolding works wonders with him. He gets so upset any time he thinks hes in trouble, true "beatings" are rare.

And I really dont hate the cat. I strongly dislike her...strongly.

My first BOXER ate everything!! 3 pounds of bird seed and he pooped granola bars for days. Vacuum cleaner cords, the center caps of my fathers limited edition firebird and the worst was THREE, THREE buffalo wing oven bags with all the seasonings and pull tab closures still on them. I still don't know how he pass all those bags..... that was the big still too long to mention all that he ate....

What dogs eat

Anyone see this show? It's on Nat Geo Wild. I was flipping channels yesterday and came across the show. I could not believe some of the things people's dogs have eaten... glue, hundreds of rocks, hanger, lip balm, etc. Makes my dog eating two of the kid's socks seem small in comparison.

My Dog Ate What- Nat Geo Wild

My sisters boxer ate her purple bikini underwear. Had to be surgically removed. Two weeks later the dog did the same thing again. LOL.

I once placed Doberman that ate socks and had separation anxiety. Was a guy in a wheelchair that was on disability that adopted her, as he never left the house except once per month to cash his disability check (about 25 years ago). So she was only alone for a couple hours 12 times a year .... the sock eating got her in trouble though because she learned how to dig them out of the laundry basket he said ..... so he had to hide his dirty socks too LOL.

My boxer/pit pull mix ate my reading glasses, several pens, a remote control for the TV, my blinds off my window, and too many other numerous things to mention. I guess he's passed them all because he doesn't seem to have any problems. He goes to the vets plenty.

Our 1st dog golden/cocker spaniel mix ate carrots, celery, any kind of cookies that I made,stawberries,apples-but they had to be peeled, peaches, banana's,
raisons-I know dog's are not suppost to have them-but she lived until she was 13 and she also ate pickles-any kind.
Our shepard-eats about the same except for the celery, but she eats bee's, butterfly's, bugs, fly's, and once she ate a whole pack of frozen hamburger that I had left out for dinner. And bag balm and mustache wax....didn't even bother her.

My bichon has eaten sharpies, hand sanitizer, christmas ornaments, any food that is left within his reach, and he loves my panties. Clean, dirty he doesn't care. If I am missing undies I know to look under the bed because that is where he likes to stash them. He just likes to hoard them and keep them. Good thing he doesn't eat them!!

I loved watching that show, I haven't seen any new ones lately tho.

Between my 2 boxers they have eaten, a kitchen towel - soaked with the juice of a roast - yummy im sure, which i pulled out of said dog's butt!
Cell phones, socks, chewed endless bras, cue tips, buttons, plastic stuff of many varieties, books, bills - yeehaaaw! and a partridge in a pear tree! lol They arent so bad now, they eat their food and cookies! and luckily no injuries or anything yet! :)
