She does not like going into her kennel. She walks by it and grawls at it. God forbid the door is shut. Marley goes ape sh!t. The door has to stay open. If its closed she will do anything to open it. Even pushing the kennel. After she gets it she goes on the rug and lays down. She will look back at the kennel just to make sure its still open.

Dogs are so weird.

I was afraid to kennel train my two 10 year old dogs but they took to it in 2 days. BUT they have to be tucked in and rolled up in a towel like a burrito or else they whimper all night. We only kennel them at night so we can have the extra bed space. If they're out and not in bed with us then then they sit next to the bed and bark.

At first she slept in the kennel at night and when we left the house but now she sleeps with us. She has here own pillow and blanket. Spoiled dog.

 that's so good to hear. It's amazing how much her life has turned around since I found that skinny pup in the road!

Ours (one of three) sleeps between us. The other two are very happy to go in their crates.

Yep, we spoil ours, too. My husband has this ridiculous cooling pillow that he likes to keep beneath his back. It costed like $80 ON SALE. One side is a gel and the rest is filled with little beads. It's so "the air can circulate and keep the gel side cool." Which, I'm not going to lie, actually works quite well (I hate it). If the dogs sleep with us they all compete for that pillow.

Maybe a new blanket or bed in the kennel?

Yep I'm the lucky owner of the beagles someone found on rt 4 I think it was in late January. As soon as I saw the picture I knew I had to have her. She's the mac to my cheese. :)

It was rt 5 near Redgate :yay: she was stopping traffic running out into the road. I pulled over and she sat waiting on the passenger side for me to come around.. She wagged her tail and I opened the door and she hopped right in! Then she tried to eat my lunch

Aww. I can't thank you enough for doing that. Marley has changed my family's life.

Mine has her own bed, which she never sleeps in. She prefers my bed. Now I wouldnt mind it so much if she was the size of a pom. However, she is a 70lb boxer mix. She really isnt that bad to sleep with, she stays pretty still, but she snores louder than a mac truck warming up. LOL

Talk about weird, I just let my dog in, she's wet from the rain, I'm in the bathroom blow drying my hair, she comes in a keeps poking me in the leg with her nose. She wanted me to use the blow dryer on her. She's been to the groomer plenty of times and I guess she knows that when she's wet that's how to get dry. I don't know, I just thought it was funny that she sat and let me blow dry her.

My GSD used to come and start the nose poke EVERY time I dried my hair. He loved to be blown dry. He would tolerate a bath just to have his dryer time. Crazy dog.... Miss him.... :frown:

For some reason, my dogs loves bath time.

Not to mention whenever we play frisbee and she gets hot, she'll go inside, and hop right in the tub waiting for me to turn the cold shower on.
