blade broke :ohwell:

I've never replaced one before....So, am I going to need any special tools for this repair?

When DR is done with his movie, I'll direct him this way. Course, it may be tomorrow before he posts.

There's a nut on the shatf the blade is on under the mower. Take the nut off, replace the blade with a new one from Lowes.
p.s. it might be a reverse thread nut

Well I know all that....I just want to make sure that there isn't a special tool size for this....

and that there isn't a certain torque that should be on there so that the blade doesn't come flying off when I cut my grass(that would really suck)

You're going to need a 1-17/16 box end wrench with an adjustable caliper. You prolly have one. :yay:

Must be a bad day for blades. I just watched my neighbor try to mow over a root. Blade caught it and bent it about 30 degrees. Shaft looks OK but won't be able to be absolutely sure till new blade is in place.

Don't brake the F'in blade.

Your right....I shouldn't do that

I'm just a dumb woman that knows nothing about anything and should just stand in the corner and wait for some big strong man like you to take care of me

I think I'm going to throw up now
