I didn't have a goodnight lastnight at all he woke me very 1hr and 30min wanting to eat and all he took was a few bites then walked away. Today is the same thing so far. but he is still beggin for attention and I am giving it to him all I can. today he also jumped up in the chair and is resting there. I think hes getting his strength back which is a good thing. I have to run by the vet later today to pick up stuff to help him get rid of his diareah.

I'm sorry he kept you up. he has to sleep sometime and when he does try to get some yourself. at least it appears he has his energy still, that is always positive. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you (and him).

Keep us posted.

Sounds like he is a healthy cat, so I would just make sure you don't give him special treats. They will learn to hold out for the goodies. He will eat when he is hungry, he's just testing whether he lives in a democracy or not. lol.

I think you missed the part where i took the cat to the vet and hes is very ill. I am not sure how much longer he is going to be around. The vet seems to think hes got leukemia. If you call being skinny as a rail healthy (its not). Have you looked at any of the pictures I have posted? I am going to try to get one of him later today or tomorrow or maybe this weekend and show you all how he looks now. He went to the vet on tuesday and is now up to 9lbs3ozs. He seems to be happy so far today he didn't wake me every hour lastnight instead he woke me at 230am and 630am and has already eaten 1.5cans of food. The vet told me to let him eat if he is hungry and asking for food. He actually slept with me lastnight which was nice and the bed is high up off the floor and he can actually make it up kind of he has to do some climbing to get all the way but hes doing pretty good for being a weak cat due to being very anemic. The vet said we could put him through a horrible test (bone marrow asperation (sp) but mom and I have decided we aren't going to put him through any of that as we don't think its fair to the cat to put him through pain and suffering for no cure to make him all better again.

I am sorry I rambled on and on. I just wanted to share some more with you all on how he is doing etc.

For the love of God...please put that poor cat out of his misery. He sounds like he's not having fun at all. He sounds like he's feeling terrible. Why are you prolonging it? How many tests are you going to put him through? You keep complaining about not getting any sleep...imagine how he feels! You say you don't want to let him go....quit being selfish. Do you really think he has a great quality of life right now?

Sorry for being so blunt....but you're dragging it out way too long.

You know what you haven't seen this cat and hes not suffering if he was he would be put to sleep. The vet said he is doing fine for now but isn't sure how long he will do fine for that is all. I talk with the vet once a week and she tells me what needs to be done health wise for him. I am doing the best I can for him and I see you must not be an animal lover like I am. I don't let my animals suffer thankyou very much. Plus why put down a happy animal my mom and I both see hes happy hes wagging his tail and hes purring hes not walking around crying the blues 24/7 if he was we know what we need to do. So please keep your rude comments to yourself I see many here are supportive to me and they know what I am going through and you don't

well that is weird you say that he looks awful i have had several people say hes looking better each time i send a photo of him on here. Please don't talk anymore in my thread please as you only bring up the negative and nothing positive and I can't take that right now. You haven't seen my cat in real life either so you don't know how good or bad he is doing. A few people here also gave me some good advice too and I see you have nothing to say other than negative. He has up and down days and people always ask how he is doing and I am not going to sit here and lie as I am not a liar lying gets you nowhere in life.

Sorry all but this jerk is getting on my last nerve wish i knew how to delete his/her posts but I don't :lalala:

:huggy: Well I think you have the cats best interest at heart. You know your cat better than anyone and from what you say, you would not let him suffer.

I am really glad that he slept through the night, I think that is a big improvement and the fact that he is eating so much is great as well. Just do what the vet said and document everything you need to tell her. Give him loves of love and be strong for him.

I agree with you, I dont think you should put him through test after test after test, especially with no cure for what the doctor beleives is the problem. Hopefully he will live a full 10 or more years.

Keep us posted, and give us some pictures. :huggy:

Stop spoiling him. He will eat the dry food you put out for him if he's hungry. Never share your food with him or that will be all he wants.

That's the best advice I can give you.
That's the best advice there is! :yay:

can you all quit giving me hell. I know when the time is right to say goodbye. I am not stupid and he isn't suffering at all if he was he would be gone now ok. I sure as he!! wasn't born yesterday and a few people have seen recent pictures of my baby and they say he looks great. I see you all have never had a sick pet so far in your lives. I have already put 2 animals to sleep in my 31yrs of life and I can tell when the time is right and no i am not keeping him alive for the sake of it and just so you all know today he has been very playful hes been attacking my hands when I am petting him and he keeps rolling over on his back to get his belly rubbed. He is doing pretty good and he isn't suffering none of you all live in my house so if you don't have anything nice to say keep your traps shut.

Yes you are right river rat I will do the right thing...I don't believe in letting an animal suffer when he/she is in pain. Today was the best day so far picasso has had in 2 weeks and I am happy.....PM me when you get a chance river and I will show you a new picture of him that I took today...I already had one person tell me he looks lots better.

I will not be posting pictures here anymore due to some idiots on here.
