My neighbor's dogs

A week or so ago I heard my cat's bell, I then heard my neighbor say "GIT EM!" Cat's bell was then heard trailing off in the woods.

Ok, so we have had problems with them in the past.... He would let his pitbull roam all over the neighborhood. The dog ripped open my other neighbor's screen door and humped their dog that just happened to be in heat so thats 2 dogs not altered :nono:.

So all night long last night this dog had been barking, waking me up, waking all the other dogs across the street in the other neighborhood up, all kinds of dogs barking all night long :jameo:

He has one mutt that he lets roam and the other, pitbull uncut male, tied to an orange extension chord.

I came home from getting my morning :coffee: (at this point since I was up all night it was afternoon :coffee:) and My cat wants to come in. The dogs hear her collar bell and start the barking again, the mutt chases her away. I'm yelling at these dogs to shut up, "are you kidding me? You've been barking all night and still today give it a break dogs!"

Animals control was called on them before and now they have another pitbull puppy.

I don't have a problem with the breed, I have a problem with owners that don't know how to

a) handle the terrier mentality

b) think its cool or tough to own such a dog and not care for it properly

It makes me feel we should have tougher pitbull laws. I have owned these dogs in the past and if raised properly they can have perfectly good manners but its getting out of hand. :banghead:

I say since the pit roams freely and you know he is not altered take that bb gun of yours and neuter him yourself! Maybe owner will learn!

Just being sarcastic.............It's ALWAYS the dog's owners job to keep their animals in check....I wish you well...:yay:

I couldn't shoot anything I'm not going to eat :frown:

Thanks. Don't worry their day is coming. This is the same neighbor that thougt it was funny to give his dog extasy. When he admitted that I yelled at him and refused to ever talk to his scumbag azz ever again.

Is your cat running loose?

My cat is primarily an outdoor cat, comes in for food and to sleep during the day. My cat is not the problem. My cat isn't the one barking all night long. My cat does not break into other people's houses and impregnate other cats. My cat has been altered.

I mean they are breaking the peace ordinance when their dog is barking after 11pm, and then again at 230am, again at 330am and even when BF goes to work at 630am. Its just too much. They own two dogs that they're not taking care of properly.

Cats are way more independent and she stays by the house within 1/4 mile radius.

Sounds like you live in a very nice hood. :eyebrow:

happy to be living
It really wasn't bad until they moved it. We are surrounded by woods and there are only a few of us on our street but since they moved here it has been nothing but trouble.

Rental house? Call the owners...
You should be able to sign an affavadit (sp) with A/C about the barking and they will get a fine. If it doesn't stop, go sign another one and they get fined again.

I think I would try to train kitty to be indoors...

I love dogs, I do I do I do. I wanted one but we just can't have one right now. Cat can't be indoors, we tried.

Bottom line, you have a dog, you have a fenced in yard or a tie out. I don't think there are any laws for cats to be in a fenced in yard or on a leash.

BF is going to talk to them tonight. If that doesn't resolve anything then we're calling the cops after midnight when the barking won't cease.

I can't wait to move to WV with BB666, we won't have such problems on our self sustaining homestead :lmao:

last time I lived in a hood, there was a neighbor that let his cats run free.
the would use the flower garden in my front yard to take their dump and all you smelled at my front door was cat crap.
he didnt care, said it wasnt his problem.
then they had their little paw prints all over my new car along with some superficial scratches in the paint on the hood.
he didnt care.

he did however care the morning I started the car and discovered that the cat was on top of the engine, damn thing made a hell of a noise as it thumped around pulled by the fan belt.

I told him, I didnt care, it wasnt my problem and proceeded to hose off the engine compartment and the driveway.

My cat never goes on cars, she hates them. I know the cat uses the dirt in the woods as her litter box, its all soft I have seen her and nobody here has flowers.

I am looking at both sides here. If cat would have never steped a paw outside there would be no issue. She was an outdoor cat to begin, I had no hand in that. She stays away from my neighbor's. The neighbor's dog had even went after 2 dogs at a nearby business, my cat never did that.

If my cat ever did any of the above things to my neighbor's property I would have made sure she didn't step a paw outside but she keeps to her property and socializes with the cats that belong to my other neighbor.
