Don't bother trying to deal with the neighbor. Just call the police (not animal control because they never answer). Tell the police the dog chased your child in the house and your scared for other children in the neighborhood.

We had a neighbor dog that did that to me and my husband called the police because the dog had me up against the house. He told the police if they didn't get here now he was going to shoot the dog himself. The police were there in 2 minutes....

Believe me, I love animals (I practically have a zoo) but I have no tolerance for mean dogs or their owners. If the owners arent bright enough to keep track of their dogs then they don't need them anyway. Let the police call animal control.

You don't know what your cat is doing if you can't see it.

If the dog eats your cat, you have no one but yourself to blame. How can you find fault is someone else allowing their pet to roam all over, when you're doing the same thing?

Roaming cats and roaming dogs are 2 entirely different situations! When was the last time there was an attack on a person or animal by " an at large domestic short hair"?

The only attacking my cat does is the ground when she plops down on it b/c she so laaaazy!
