Ok, I'll remember to never listen to your reviews when it comes to food. I get better Mexican from a can than I do from Monterey.

Mexican is Mexican is Mexican... The can must be better than both thats all. Ask me about a can then it would be different story

I have eaten there twice now. Scale of 1-10 with 10 the best

PRICE: 7 did have kid meal options for the family

Atmosphere: 8 Nice lightings , comfortable seating

Service: 4 My biggest annoyance was a waiter who did not clearly speak ENGLISH (a peave) He was pleasent but could not figure out a simple custom order and delivered me something diffrent then I ordered. I have very little tolerance for this in service. especially when you (MISSING A WORD?)catering to people who speak english. I blame management for this.

Food: 7 Food was good with reasonable portions
If you intend to make a living at this someday I would suggest you get a dictionary and a usage book. Just trying to be helpful. Oh, and also take pictures of the food and any cute waitresses.

Actually, the spicy mexican food is more Americanized than authentic. Tex-Mex tends to be spicy, but if you go to Mexico and get past the tourist areas the food is not much different than Monterey. Yes, there is some authentic mexican food that is spicy, but it is the exception not the rule.

I would love to have a good Tex-Mex restaurant here, though. It's frustrating to have to use hot sauce on the food just to get some flavor into it.
I'd love to have a Cuban restaurant personally :yum: Actually when I say Americanized, I mean just that. It's all supposed to be uniform shape color and size :blech: or "we" won't eat it. Refers to everything from Mexican to Chinese. How boring. I'd rather having something different and some variety and experience a good cook being a good cook. Not necessarily "spicy", which was my example to get the previous point across and the only word you previously caught.

I agree. It always amazed me when I'd go to another country and my co-workers wanted to go get McDonalds. When I'm in China, I'm not going to eat pizza. When I'm in Italy, I'm not going to eat chinese food. I love real ethnic food, cooked using traditional methods, served as it is traditionally served.

I was so happy to see the Korean place opening in Lusby, but now I wonder if it will ever open. If he's having that much trouble just getting started, is he going to have to cut quality or service? It's probably going to be a huge disappointment.

You have no idea how to write a proper food review do you? I have read all three of your posts and to tell you the truth my daughter would do much better.

What did you expect when you walk into an ethnic restaurant and greet the staff?

You have little tolerance in this service? Excuse me?

Especially when they are catering to people who speak English?
If you are a Food critic wannabe then you should also expect this when out and about in restaurants that have different ethnic backgrounds and cultures. Did you expect them to roll out the red carpet and change into something they are not because you were there?

You want to write food reviews and you all you can comment on was comfortable seating and nice lighting?

There's 2 mexican places in L'town. The one where Mattinglys used to be is Salsa's and there's one where Nook and Monks used to be. I can't remember the name of that one. We ate there once, it was pretty good.
