My favorite place I have visited was Poland. I just really enjoyed it there..friendly people..beautiful place...It just seemed so restful for some reason..I can't wait to go back. And I want to go back to Finland to go to Moomin world.

Russia was neat too..mostly because I got to see all of the Rasputin stuff..which I adored..but it was incredibly depressing..it was almost sad to see all of that beautiful famous artwork ( in the winter palace and such) in such a dreary place. big tenament buildings..in disrepair..the only hint of happiness is everyone in Russia seems to own a daschund...so there were weenie dogs everywhere...still worth it for the history..and the lesson to be learned.

Some of the best travels take place off the beaten path. Like this place:

Rick Steves' Europe: Civita di Bagnoregio

With a population of only six, it’s been dubbed “the dying town”. All that is left of Civita di Bagnoregio, the Lazio town founded by the Etruscans more than 2,500 years ago, is a cluster of holiday homes, a B&B, restaurants and souvenir shops, all catering to the tourists who come to marvel at and indulge this gem of Italy’s past.

Did you like it there? Any advice on things to see?

If you have a chance, visit Isla Taboga, it's an island off the coast from Panama City. I can recommend a place to stay there. Also, take a puddle jumper out to San Blas. Very primitive, but very beautiful.
