Couple of friends and I hopped the fence and wandered around that place back around 79 or 80. Lots of busted up gambling equipment, furnature, a couple broken pinball machines.

Must have been something in it's day.

It is now the site of the Pt Lookout State Park Fishing Pier.

What year did that place close down? I have a memory that I used to go to the baby pool there when I was a youngin', but it may very well be a false memory. I actually think the place closed down before I was born.

If that was the name of it. I never knew it. Where was it located?

Wow that picture brought back summer memories for me. It wasn't at Seven Gables but I used to spend the summers at the main pier in St. Clement Shores and we always hung chicken necks from the pier and caught crabs. I miss the good old days!

My grandmother has that painting. She also has some old (50+ yrs ago) pictures of her and my mother in front of Neptunes when it was some bait store (Can't remember what the name of it was)

There is no way Every time there is a super high tide, it floods.

I love that painting. I bought one of her paintings a few months ago because I loved the scene (reminds me of Abell's Wharf in the day) and because one of the boats in the scene has my name (first and middle) on it. I still need to get it framed, though.

I can so totally picture it as a bait store. I would love to see the pictures sometime. I find it interesting to "turn back time" and see things how they used to be around here.

The Point Lookout Hotel?

That was my guess, too. I thought it might have been the Seven Gables at what is now Boatel California, but that building's gables were different sizes.
