I don't think using a backup car means anything with this new COT.

Remember, Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon both used backup cars in the Budweiser Shootout. These cars have done exactly what NASCAR hoped they would. They can take a car that they ran at Richmond and use it in Vegas and get away with it.

By the way, Mark Martin starts 3rd!

This racetrack sucks. There's a wreck every 5 minutes here. That's not racing.

is a pussy, annoying bastard.....I can remember back in the 90's when Western Auto sponsered both him and Al Hoffman in T/F Funny Car...W/A. had a day where they decided to swap drivers and cars. Al drove DW's car around the track at 190 MPH, and said fun, but no big deal. DW would not even get in Al's T/F funny car....said they were crazy...........Condesending azzwhipe......Thanks for letting me vent.

No I guess it wasn't, actually I watched the last 50 laps last night and believe it or not was rooting for Martin to win since he was driving for owner Dale Earnhardt, I dont usually watch the Saturday race, and didnot know that Junior was the owner of a couple of cars.

Seems a little odd that Martin races for Junior and then for the wicked step mother in the Nextel cars.
