Lights out around 8:30 and they're still out. Pulled out my laptop and plugged her in so I could see what the weather is doing. It's interesting computing by oil lamp.jazz lady said:Big boomers!
Time to unplug for awhile.
Parts of San Souci went out for an hour or so, they came back on about 9:30.jazz lady said:Lights out around 8:30 and they're still out. Pulled out my laptop and plugged her in so I could see what the weather is doing. It's interesting computing by oil lamp.
I hear chainsaws in the distance, so this can't be good.
It was out for about 2 hours and came back on, after a few fits and starts, around 10:30. I'd say we had a very good response from SMECO.BuddyLee said:Parts of San Souci went out for an hour or so, they came back on about 9:30.

I'll bet! Glad you guys made it in safely. The storm came up very quickly AND violently.Airgasm said:As far as this evening went "Gasmic" applied to getting back to the dock just before the fury!

I called my mom, who lives only a couple of miles away off of 249, and she never lost power.
It wasn't out that long, but it took my A/C out. I turned it back on after I was sure the power was going to STAY on, but it was only blowing warm air and was actually getting HOTTER in the house. I shut it off, opened the windows, turned on some fans, and prayed for a cool breeze. I think I finally fell asleep for good around 3:30.jwwb2000 said:Ours flickered a couple times and I thought we were gonna loose power but we didn't. Glad yours wasn't out too terribly long.

It was a long, hot night.
It's central air. I tried everything: made sure the breakers weren't popped, turned it on and off, etc. The compressor just isn't turning on. The repairman is on the way.jwwb2000 said:Do ya have a reset button on the A/C unit itself........try pushing that and then turn it back on. Holler if ya need anything......

Thanks for the offer.
