Mine has been down since saturday, sure has been a hot week. The compressor is the problem in ours too.jazz lady said:It's central air. I tried everything: made sure the breakers weren't popped, turned it on and off, etc. The compressor just isn't turning on. The repairman is on the way.

Well, almost $200 later and the housing is *finally* cooling down. They had to replace the capaciter on the outside unit, which blew most likely due to a nearby lightning strike.jazz lady said:
