I was thinnking at five they were already a little mature for the hair and nails party. Probably want to move on to passion parties at that age.

:roflmao: They probably already know stuff like that is cheaper on the net

Want to be different? Have a birthday party at home with games, cake & ice cream and send the kids home with a goodie bag. :yay:

Those are the bestest ones to have.....if you have the room! I always had the most fun when I was younger at peoples homes.

I think that "Moe's" in Lusby does parties with clowns, baloons, face painting, coloring books, etc..."
Have been there several times when a party was goin' on.
Call 'em tomorrow maybe ! (410-326-4500)

Nothing to see here
I have a neice that works at Moe's. One place you might want to try is the Gymnastics place in LP near the movie theatre. They do parties.

For as young as 5, McDonalds or Chuckie Cheese. Youn kids like playing in the play place at McDonalds.

call your locally indoor swimming pool and ask about there birthday packages.

My son has had me do this for his last 2 birthdays, at a pool in Waldorf and the kids all love it

checkout Calvert County Marine Museum- there is a discount for members. There is a private room upstairs for parties.

You can see the otters frolic outside- my kids LOVE this.

Have a pretend PJ party- let all the kids come in their pj's say 6:eek:o-8:30pm I wouldn't serve "dinner" just cake/cupcakes/ ice cream and a drink. Leave out munchies for movie time. have a featured movie. Spread out quilts/comforters/ fuzzy blankets and tons of pillows on floor- move furniture if needed.. Before movie starts, play musical pillows.

Goodie bags can be a small candy/lollipop, gift cert for McD's or rita's, new toothbrush/toothpaste and a pencil.

When my daughter was this age I went to a local park with a pavilion & playground.
We brought cup cakes, pans of mac'ncheese, a cooler of kid drinks and cooked hot dogs.
I laid crab paper and crayons on the tables and let them color or play.
Gave away a balloon tied to a candy bag to each.
Lasted about 3 hours, I've been to others and they ordered in pizza.
Both worked fine - kids are happy, feed and you can leave whenever you're ready.

Parties have gotten out of control!!

Just wondering - how many others don't like the parents to leave their kids with you?
Like I don't have enough to do, now I've got to keep up with 8 kids plus my own and throw the party. Don't remember my Mom leaving me when I was a kid.

I have no problem with parents leaving their child with me. I really wouldn't want a bunch of parents around that I don't know just standing around getting in the way.

Please help me. I need an indoor place to have a party for a five year old girl and her friends and small siblings. Hyperspace has been a disaster for us and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas that were not too pricey. I would love to hear about any experiences you have had.

Thanks

Hello,
I found a great place in lexington park.... Its called the Jumpyard
Its super clean, and about same or less than hyperspace.
I take my kids there all the time.

It is right next to the family dollar and Kims Nails.
I hope this helps.

They call me ... Sarcasmo
Jumpyard does rock! Age limit in there is 10 and they have a great set up. The owner decided to open it up after several bad experiences with Hyperspace. I had to take my son to a party at Hyperspace and it was basically the inmates running the asylum (like in here). At least 1/4 of the video games were out of order and the majority of the rest of them had something to do with killing people. Don't get me wrong, I am all for a good first person shooter but at 5-6 years old, it is a bit much.
