I have a kitten that I think momma abandoned. The eyes arent open yet. What do I do with it. how often do they eat?

edit-after reading some articles I am guessing it is about a week old. I also see that it says that momma lick their stomachs to get them to go the bathroom, how does a human imitate that?

If I take it to the human society, will they work with it or put it down?

Does my butt look big?
Get this kitten to someone that knows how to take care of it..

1. warm it..
2. never feed a cold kitten
3. KMR is what is needed and it can NOT go through the night without food..
4. do you have the mother??

Oh my.... looks maybe a week...

You need to keep it warm but not directly on a heating pad. It needs to eat every 2-3 hours. If it's cold ...you need to warm it before it eats. You need to stimulate it's private area with a warm cloth or cotton ball to get it to potty.

Do you have any access to KMR, which is a kitten forumula?

Actually I got some formula from petsmart and I called the vet to try to figure out how to help him pee. I am very very inexperienced with kittens this small, we have millions of feral cats but when I see them they are usually alot older than this:lmao:.

Inkpen offer to take her since she fosters with a humane society and that same humane society told me they couldnt take him. I am really glad I met with inky because he had a small mark on his shoulder that I kinda dismissed as matted fur, but as it turned out he was a infection from some type of wound that he received.

:yikes:

Reminds me of a kitten I fostered years ago with a wound...ended up it was bitten by something rabid...what a fiasco..the kitten came down with rabies.
