Be sure to go to the Cliff House http://www.cliffhouse.com/ and the grounds of the old Sutro Baths http://www.sutrobaths.com/ and the Zoo http://www.sfzoo.org/ There is also TONS to do at Golden Gate Park http://sfgate.com/traveler/guide/sf/neighborhoods/ggpark.shtml

There is also Jack London Square in Oakland http://www.jacklondonsquare.com/

Do take a day trip to Napa and go winery hopping.

Take a drive up Highyway 1 to Mendicino. I have stayed at the Jenner Inn http://www.russianrivertravel.com/jenner.htm Head out to Leggett, CA and see the drive through tree http://www.drivethrutree.com/ and then head over to Lake Tahoe.

I LOVE Santa Cruz. Grew up going there as a kid. My very first roller coaster ride was here http://www.beachboardwalk.com/

Thanks for the memories. :huggy: I spent a few weeks every summer in Santa Cruz also. My best friend's family had a small house there. I LOVED the Boardwalk.

I lived over the hill in Los Altos, so we went there all the ime. We also would go to Ano Nuevo to see the sea elephants. Nice hike out over the dunes...http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=523

Be sure to visit some tide pools too!

:jameo: There is sooo much to do!!! :jameo:

Trying to plan this and it is driving me nuts.. I need more days to my trip. A week is not going to cut it.. So much to see and do in one little area. This is my first time to Cali.. I want to make sure I get to see all the main places first.. But my list is so long. I am a planner and want everything plan out knowing that it is going to get thrown out the door as soon as we are there. :lmao:
Next time I go out there. I want to do San Barbara.

Rent a cabin on a lake in the Adirondacks near Lake Placid. Very romantic and nice shops/restaurants. They never have hurricanes either!

All I know is that she lived in San Francisco and she said go to North Beach and go to the North beach Pizza Joint. She also mention the Cart house. At first I was thinking she was beginning to talk about Maryland. LOL While she was telling me the location I zoned out(Thinking about The Chart house in Annapolis)..

Nevermind about the Chart House. She is a Goofball. IT is run by the same Chart house here in Annapolis. If that is the case then I don't want to go. I can go here.. I want places that I can't go to here in Maryland..

Not sure if the Chart House is part of a chain or not. I know there used to be one in Los Gatos, in an old Victorian funeral home. It was yummy!

My Uncle took my sister and I to Sam Woo in Chinatown http://dinesite.com/info/rstrnt-290094/?&t=3 it was hysterical! Go there! :lmao:
