I believe Lego land is in Los Angeles, so you are looking at around 7 hours.
I thought Legoland was in Carlsbad or Oceanside, another hour or five south of LA depending on traffic.

Not sure if the Chart House is part of a chain or not. I know there used to be one in Los Gatos, in an old Victorian funeral home. It was yummy!

There are Chart House restaurants across the country, but they are far from being a typical chain. Each restaurant is unique and is geared towards the area it is in. I've been to the ones in Annapolis, Alexandria, and Savannah, and each was outstanding in its own way. :yay:

Since 1961, Chart House has been dedicated to providing the ideal fine dining experience. With twenty-five historic, waterfront and showcase locations across the US, Chart House offers spectacular views and exceptional service that you’re sure to enjoy.

:yay: I lived on the esplanade in Capitola for about six months. It was awesome.

My Grandparents used to live in Capitola too. I was very young, but I do remember it was a red house on a main road with a red barn in back. It was across the road from the ocean...

Way back when, in the late 70's, my then boyfriend and I took a trip to San Fran and then ? BUT, we stopped at the Madonna Inn and, I guess they were cleaning the rooms or something, and we walked around and peeked in the all the rooms that we could. I never went back there and have always wondered what that place was called. Thanks for the memories. :huggy:

You're welcome.

Back in the 70's, sistard and I were on a road trip with our Dad and we stopped in there. He insisted that we go in and check out the guilded men's room. :lmao:

Rose, I shoed my hubby the Cliff House Site and He loves it.. Thank you soo much for the insights.. It is good to get input from people who lived there. Now we would like to know what areas to stay away from... We were thinking about staying either in Union Square or near the airport. But we don't know about where the " BAD" areas are..

Do a google search on the history of it so you can see pictures of the original Victorian structure. It was gorgeous. Unfortunately, it burnt down.

So Now we are thinking about different places within the United States.. Not Hawaii, Alaska, or US Virgin islands. We want to go some where that is fun and romantic.

...and go on a roller coaster tour of the region. Pennsylvania. Ohio. Va.

That about covers the fun part.

So, Hubby and I were planning to go to Italy for our anniversary this year. That is not happening now. We can't get our passports in time. So Now we are thinking about different places within the United States.. Not Hawaii, Alaska, or US Virgin islands. We want to go some where that is fun and romantic. I am thinking about heading to California. Hubby want to go to the Red wood forest. I want to go to San Francisco. Have anyone been to San Francisco? What is San Francisco like. Is there any other place in Cali that would be nicer to go? I was also thinking about San Cruz or Santa Catalina. Then there is Napa Valley which is something I would like to do as well. How about AZ, is there anything romantic there? There is so many states I haven't even gone to that I would love to see. But I only have a week this time around.
Oh we are trying to stay away from anything on the east coast that would be in ways of the hurricane season..
Allow me to speak for Arizona.
Try this and see this.
