Need priest suggestions for wedding

What about getting a Justice of the Peace?

JOP are not allowed to do church weddings.

It's your parish priest's job to find a replacement priest if you are being married in your parish. Maybe this guy is available...

True.. but if the preist at the church they go to already has something going on, maybe the church is tied up as well? so if they were going somewhere else, they could get the JOP.. which is what I did.. my priest was busy so we ended up getting a JOP..

Does anyone know of where I could find a good priest to marry me and my fiance?

I am a catholic and was
wondering if there are any priests out there that would offer their services.

OOOOH, two parishes.. twice the number of altar boys!!!

I realize you have a chip on your shoulder and perhaps with good reason, or perhaps not. Either way, that comment is similar to saying that anyone named Bob likes to blow boys. After all, there are some Bob's who have molested little boys so obviously all of them do. :duh:

But when a Bob molests a little boy, he doesn't have ten levels of upper management trying to cover it up for him. The molestation (being unforgivable by itself) wasn't the worst part.

If I was affiliated with ANY organization that was that crooked and dirty, I'd burn my membership card and ask for my last ten years of dues be refunded.

By remaining a member in such a club, I would take it as a tacit approval of everything that was done. Especially since your "dues" money was being used to defend and support the guilty parties.

So that's the chip on your shoulder, fair enough; however, Bob often has family members/friends who attempt to cover up his crimes. So, do you molest little boys because you're a BOB and family members/friends try to cover for other BOBs?

You seem to be a smart man, I'm sure you get my point but in case you don't, my point is that your comment was intellectually dishonest and a gross misstatement. I realize it was off the cuff and you were trying to be funny; it worked for toppick I guess. :duh:

Keep trying to defend them it's ok...

If BOB's family, or employer tried to cover up his molestations, they'd all be sharing a cell.. name one person other than the molester themselves that has been sentenced to ANY jail time or found guilty of ANY crime, hell even arrested.

I'm sure there are victim's families still attending and defending the church too.

The brainwashing is complete.

Keep assuming. I think anyone priest, bishop, or Bob should be hanged and quartered for child molestation or covering it up; however, there are some good and decent priests, just as there are some good and decent Bobs.

I see you miss my point even though I spelled it out for you. I guess you're not so smart after all. :ohwell:

Well, congratulate yourself on not being a member of the Catholic Church. Ignore the millions who have done great works, and displayed heroic virtue. You are arguing the exception and not the rule, a favorite tactic of someone with no real case to make.

You still haven't named ONE person, one bishop, one cardinal, ANYBODY that was responsible for the cover up in this GREAT establishment famous for it's great works.. that has taken responsibility, been arrested, or come forward and pointed out everyone involved.

The cover up continues, it's just they hope everyone will forget about it and move on.

We aren't talking a person, we aren't talking an individual, you are talking about an enitre organization that had to be complicit in these crimes, but because it was a church (accepted church, not one of the cults) nobody else went to jail. Paid off the victims families, paid for the legal defense of the guilty parties, (with everyone else's money, even the victims) and life goes on..

I'm having an outdoor wedding. So will a JOP be OK for this?
