Need priest suggestions for wedding

I'm having an outdoor wedding. So will a JOP be OK for this?

If you are having an outdoor wedding, I don't think a priest can officiate. Catholic weddings, I think, must take place in the church, in front of the Blessed Sacrament.
If you are a practicing Catholic, why would you consider a JOP? Your marriage would not be valid as a Catholic.

Pssst.....Bob just doesn't like religion. Don't take it personally.
Then he should stay out of the religion thread.
I stay out of the horsey thread for the same reason.

He is an azz that just likes to show it.

Does anyone know of where I could find a good priest to marry me and my fiance?

I am a catholic and was
wondering if there are any priests out there that would offer their services.

Oh dear Lord, I'm sorry you're getting so much grief just asking a question! My answer would be to shop around various Catholic churches in your area. I've always gone to St. Ignatius Chapel Point and was married there but the wonderful priest, Fr. Sal, has moved on-otherwise I'd recommend him! Find a priest whos message you can actually listen and relate to. It doesn't mean you have to switch churches forever, but you have to listen to the priest before using him...you'd hate to glaze over during the entire ceremony. Good Luck!

He's not an azz. He simply has a differing opinion and isn't afraid to discuss it.

Do I agree with everything that he says? Absolutely not. But he does make valid points.

It's a discussion, people. :jameo:

Making inappropriate and erroneous jokes isn't expressing an opinion it's being an ass.

Deliberately overlooking a point well made just to spout one's vitriol isn't what I'd call a discussion, but if you do so be it. You're the one who has to live with him. :poorbaby:

They call me ... Sarcasmo
That is incorrect. I was married outside by a priest of the Catholic Church.

I guess it depends on that particular priest's interpretation on Canon Law. Unless it was a deacon?

Couldn't the Blessed Sacrament be brought outside for the ceremony? Priests/deacons/lay ministers often carry Eucharist outside the sanctuary to the homebound so they can receive the Sacrament.

It is my understanding from my current priest the sacrament of marriage (ceremony) cannot be performed outside of the church.

yes ,as you will see the Pope will say Mass outside often. My Mother has had a Mass for my Dad in our backyard with friends .I've seen Mass performed on the rear end of a pick up truck on a mountain for kids on campouts.
