Dogs and cats can still get salmonella.

yes...I know that... but its more likely they get its from kibble or pre made raw..... all the years I have been in vet medicine... I have YET to see any pets come in due to a raw diet due to chicken.... now from recalled kibble.. yep treated one case that came back positive.

most of the times when it is sent out to be tested..it comes back negative. and its just a GI issue.

Can you special Order Diamond Maitnence(Spelling?) If so how much would it be for a 40 lb bag? I hate having to go out to waldorf just to get dog food and I wont feed anything else

We stock Diamond foods including Taste of the Wild and Chicken soup. The other Diamond products are special order. Once we have established the frequency of purchase, we try to have the food available for the customer when they need it.
Since I pay cash for all food that comes into the stores, it is all a balancing act. I don't want to sit on something too long but at the same time, I want it to be convenient and hassle free to my customers.
When I get the chance, I will pm you price for the Adult Maintenance.

I dont cook any of my organ meat for my dogs... and NONE of the deer meat.

raw is raw - cooked is not raw  ....... it is what it is.... the dogs digestive tract can handle different bacteria than ours :yay: its ok... thats how and why they can eat raw chicken and be ok!!

there is a ratio of bone to muscle and also a percent of organ meat they should get also... too much will give them the flyin butt!!! :killingme

With wild stuff I'm more worried about parasites etc. Maybe it shouldn't be a concen, but I'm paranoid when it comes to internal creepy crawlies.

Yes yes in moderation... Can also be stuffed full of toxins (liver) depending on diet... Boiling is good. :yay:

Good deal. I actually grill these organs cause my wife does not like the smell of them boiling in the house.
I slice them up, grill them and then include some with each batch of dry food. I call it "jazzy" food and Marci sure does appreciate it when she gets it.

Not sure why we are not on Diamond's retailer list. Maybe it is because I don't carry the entire Diamond line. However, Pepper's should be on the TOW and Chicken soup sites.
If you are getting a 40 lb bag for $21+, whoever you are buying it from is paying you to buy it. Sorry, I will never be able to match that price!!

Don't know what I can buy it for/would sell it for but there are many better quality Diamond products out there. They may cost more but would be worth it. Then again, if your dogs thrive on it, who am I to say it isn't good?
Ingredients
Chicken by-product meal, wheat flour, whole grain ground corn, rice bran, ground rice, chicken fat(preserved with mixed tocopherols), beet pulp, egg product, fish meal, flaxseed, natural chicken flavor, potassium chloride, salt, choline chloride, vitamin E supplement, iron proteinate, zinc proteinate, copper proteinate, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, copper sulfate, potassium iodide, thiamine mononitrate, manganese proteinate, manganous oxide, ascorbic acid, vitamin A suplement, biotin, calcium pantothenate, manganese sulfate, sodium selenite, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), vitamin B12 supplement, riboflavin, vitamin D supplement, folic acid.

I also buy the diamond naturals to mix it with but 90% of the time they don't have the 18 lb bag but since you are unable to match their pricing I guess I will continue to go to waldorf. Thank you for your time.

ICit...i'm not stupid I know the products in the dog food...thanks though

:yay:.... cool
thats also why you get a 40lb bag at such a good price and just like FF said the way they buy.... now.. they dont buy as much as walmart or the pet food places and still are cheap in price .... so if you are happy with the dog food and your dogs do good on it!!! I would just drive to waldorf and pay 21 bucks for a 40lb bag of it.. heck... for that.. p/u two bags.. cuz you wont find a deal like that anywhere else.
