Why cut off 75% of his tail?
Dew claws are ok to remove...but the tail?

Bull Dog Nubs are CUTE! I don't think they should be cut at a later stage of life, but it's OK if they are done when born. My Boston was done well before I got her, but I would have left the ears if I had a choice.

Boxer's tails have restricted blood flow & do not always fully heal when damaged. That combined with incredible amount of energy doesn't always end well for their natural tail...

I have a boxer that I adopted two years ago with a natural tail & wish it were docked. She gets so excited she slams it into everything. She's only really hurt it once slamming it into a leg of the kitchen table, but it swole up so bad she could barely wag it. A trip to the vet ended with a waiting game & some antibiotics (fortunately a week later she was back to normal). I've read several stories of natural tailed boxers who had to get tail amputations & weeks-months of stress on the dog.

I've heard of Pit Bulls that have had to have late in life amputations as well.

Decided to see how the 'other side' of america lives without a military uniform on. Separating out of the Navy and headed off to Colorado to live the farm life. Enough of this traffic and population. Looking to settle down a bit and enjoy the next 30 years of life.

Farms in Colorado get regular visits by mountain lions, so keep your shotgun loaded.

I am truly envious. 6 years here and I like this area just fine but some days my mind wanders and I end up in Idaho.
