And you specialize in what?
What permits do you hold to take in and hold wildlife?

Nobody really cares what you have to say anymore or did you not get that before? People like you who talk out of both sides of their face so they can turn people in that are merely trying to save a critter .... people like you are sad examples of a human being, despite your work with critters. You only care about the critters you are helping, and we're supposed to let the rest die in our face right? NOT ! Go suck an egg.

The list I have describing people I don't like is pretty short:

LIARS

This applies to all people in all walks of life. If lying is part of your regular interaction with people, don't talk MY way. I have no time in my life for listening to :bs: . If I have to WONDER if what you are saying to ME is true or not, don't bother talking to me. Umm Katelin if this applies to you, don't even bother to raise your hand because :1bdz:.

The bright side of all this is that I think I have just learned that you need special permits to work with cats??

Listen, dont pay attention to all the stuff faceless people tell you here on SOMD.
If you are having problems, call, or go back to your Vet and have a tech help you or ask your Vet for another option for treating ear mite. I know of 2 that I will not post here.
Good Luck!

For crying out loud - he's conversing and sharing his experiences with us - it doesn't sound like he's having "problems" per se.

We're cat owners who have experienced what he's going through and
We're sharing methods that WORKED FOR US.

Why do you have to be so abrasive all the time?

What permit would she need for the animals she does work with?

Not sure just what animals she really works with.

She indicated she had squirrels and was buying formula for them and planned to raise them.
I asked her of she had a permit to do so from DNR, Md.
Also advised her that the formula she was getting for them was not currently being used by rehabbers, we use a "new and improved" formula mixture that really is better for the squirrels than just plain "puppy" milk.
But in the end, nothing came of it, she did not get the squirrels.

That's all.

Not sure what your issues are, but understand that I do not go out and find animals, they are brought to me by kind hearted folks who know to do the right thing: turn the animal over to a licensed rehabber.

I do my best to provide for all that enter my care, and work with a Vet.
I do not "save" them. I do the right thing, and do no harm buy doing things that are out of my sphere of experience, training and license. I know my limits and will tell the caller, I can not help you, but here is the name of number of someone who can.

You, as a "kind hearted citizen", are supposed to get that orphaned, injured or displaced wild animal into "our" care so it does not die right in your face.
You are not permitted to attempt to do it by yourself just because you looked stuff up on the internet.
Not my rules, but state law.

(FYI: I have never turned anyone in!)

If you feel the need to tell people what to do, and they "Do it", then, good or bad, you live with those consequences of "telling".

That includes attempting to rehab wildlife with permits.

If your actions result in the disfigurement or death of a wild animal, or it is not releasable (and in Md. a wild animal is either released or put down) then you are responsible and have to live with that action.

I don't have to live with it, because I do not have that animal in my care.

I live the consequences of my decisions too.

Call me all the names you want it does not bother me.
Really, it doesn't.

Being kind to animals means all animals and it means Do No Harm!

So you replied to the same post twice - I guess that means you thought of more to say later eh? I didn't read it because I don't care WHAT you say.

I know someone who called you for help with baby squirrels they were bottle feeding (Irene victims) after getting information on the DREADED INTERNET (how they survived for weeks I'll never know with that inaccurate internet information they found). YOU told them to call you back later and when they did, you let your machine/service answer with a recorded message saying you were not taking any more baby squirrels. Okay that's fine, the INN WAS FULL, but the least you could have done was TELL them how to go about releasing them!!!! You are such an idiot!
