New Every Two….

I’m up for my “free” phone upgrade with Verizon and was wondering what the latest and greatest phones are out there these days from Verizon. I’ve looked at the line up of phones on the Website and was wondering about what experiences you might been having. I currently have a Motorola E815 and I like the phone except for the charging plug. I’m on the fence between sticking with another clam shell type of phone and jumping over to a PDA/Smartphone. Thanks

Great question! I have the same phone and would love to know the same thing. I would prefer to keep a Motorola phone. My co-worker loves the Env.

I just found out a couple of months ago; With the new every two, you can now get a new phone in your 20th month instead of waiting 22 months.

I have an E815 and really like it...My youngest son had one and just upgraded his to a LG VX9400 nad loves it....Oldest son did the same thing and he likes it too....If you take pictures you will like a new phone....My E815 doesn't take pictures worth a hoot....The new ones (VX9400) takes really good pictures....I think technology has improved.....Mine will be up for an upgrade soon and I don't know what I'm going to do....That 815 my son had got a lot of abuse and held up good....I don't like the way the charger plugs in either...

I've got the EnV (VX9900) and love it.. full keyboard, 2.0 MP camera (VERY good pictures from a phone), can take an hour long video.. has all the toys.. V-CAst, Navigator, mobile web, micro SD card.. Great graphics on the interior screen.. Stereo sound.

I just upgraded and went with the LG 8550 chocolate (the new one). I think it's pretty schweet. It can do a ton of stuff. Only downfall I see is the keypad is very small, so if you do a lot of texting, it may not be a good choice. Reception is great. Holds up to 4GB memory for MP3s and stuff and can by used as a wireless modem and a bunch of other stuff I'll never do with it. Bro-in-law just recently got the newest Razor (not sure which model that is) and he really doesn't like it much.

Thanks for the reminder. I need to upgrade. I like my daughters, not sure what it is, but it has a keyboard. I hate phones, so the keyboard will be perfect for me.

Daughter's phone won't hold a charge, so I'm thinking about giving her my phone (almost 2 years old) and upgrading to something better. There's one she showed me over the weekend - it flips around or something, really cool! After the mail-in rebate, the cost was less than $50 I believe.

My daughter wanted the Chocolate originally, but her friends have bought it, and they keep breaking them. She's looking at the Env for her Upgrade now. She REALLY likes mine.

OOPS, posting as BG from home.. (itsbob)

I don't like how the Chocolate has the "send, end" buttons on the side and the keyboard is way to small for me to text on. But I love that it comes in colors.

The EnV came in silver and orange so I got orange.

I think they started this new special on June 1st. So you have been actually eligable for an upgrade since 4-30-07. (Note: Verizon doesn't have the right date on the website it's now 20 months instead of 22.) I guess it doesn't matter it your case since yours is up already.

I was going by the date given on the Website. I would've never known. I'll keep it in mind for next time though.

I'm not eligible for a free upgrade till November (or January if they end the 20 month promo before then). :bawl:

Yeah, I didn't know that either. My co-worker was in a Verizon store just looking and they told her that. She was able to get her phone that day because of the change.

I feel ya hntr1. I think I have to wait til April. We (hubby & I) have an LG flip, not exactly sure of the model. He had to replace his at least once due to bad programming. The screen gets all out of wack and the picture is messed up. He's due to go back in for them to fix it, again.

I think that may be the LG VX9400....that's what my 2 sons have....The screen flips horizontally or vertically....Nice clear screen...They can text on it faster than I can talk.... :lmao:

I have no complaints with my phone. Just be nice to upgrade.
