Pet Adoption New Foster

This is Cora.
Pretty sure she's a Jack Russel mix.
Life's already been tough for this one.
Eleven weeks old.

The cast needs to stay on for the next month. With any luck she won't need anything else done.
Not sure how the leg was broken but it's not keeping her down.

What a beauty. Sorry her little life has been tough but things are looking up for her!

Cora has a vet appointment tomorrow.
Hoping the leg has healed enough to have the cast taken off.
Her last vet visit showed much promise.

Healing quite well.
Leaving the cast on for now, but scheduled to have it removed on the 22nd or when she chews it off.
Which ever comes first.

My wife couldn't resist the bed.

Good news. You made me laugh, and smile. Huggy to Cora, and y’all.

How did it go for the sweet pups at Pepper’s, today?

How did it go for the sweet pups at Pepper’s, today?

Sorry for not responding until now. Life keeps getting in the way.

Cora had an attitude that day. Out of maybe 25 people who expressed a minimal interest, she only let two pet her and three more she tolerated enough not to growl or bark.
One of the two she accepted sat with her for a good spell. Said he wanted her but we haven't heard anything.

Flash, was nothing but awesome. Didn't matter who are what you were he just wanted some love.

Today, Flash is not doing well.
Knowing he was recently treated for heartworm an occasional cough/hack attack is expected but this was different. Yesterday, the look in his eyes said it all. He couldn't breath. X-rays show either a massive infection and or pneumonia. Possible complications of the heartworm treatment may be the cause but we won't know until tomorrow at the earliest.
There's two different opinions on whether he has an enlarged and or damaged heart and to what possible extent.
He'll be at the Annapolis emergency vet for at least the next two days and possibly more.
He and Cora have become a somewhat bonded pair.
Was tough leaving him today but we hope to bring him back soon.

Awww, I am sorry about the pups, wr. You do all you can, and then some. I know emergency vet visits are not cheap. You and your wife are good souls. I hope all works out for the pups. Hugs to all of you.
