Did you happen to get the info? I saw it tonight but it was closed. SO yeah I have heard of cardio kickboxing classes but nothing like true boxing. I have been going to a BJJ school up the road but with me wanting to hit the gym everyday that kills my time. I really need something MMA based that really trains for fighting, I have a MMA fight in VA in a few months and have to get as much time in training as I can. So im thinking the closer to southern MD the better.

Have you ever looked into training at The Cave? The Cave Mixed Martial Arts I Fredericksburg's Best MMA Training

You're fighting in a few months and don't have a team or gym???

Southern MD BJJ in White Plains is where I go, awesome place, or Royal MMA in Waldorf. TO the post about the Cave, yes I have heard of them and thats the area I fight in, Barbarian Fight club which the cave sponsors.

I trained at Royal MMA for a while. I liked it but it was a little far for me to drive on the regular. Do they offer pure BJJ classes now? When I was there they just had an MMA class and the standard Tae Kwon Do class. Thanks for the info though.

Thats my thing, everything is far away from St Marys, granted a drive to waldorf isnt bad, but doing it daily stinks.

I didn't see anything on the website mentioning MMA and I would never trust anything under a money-grabbing McDojo like the BBA.

Well it's there. It's under the special programs section. His classes are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:30.

You are entitled to your opinion but my son does MMA with him and he loves it. And it's not as expensive as you think it is!!

I did the drive to Camp Springs 5-6 days a week for almost 3 years to Lloyd Irvin. Loved it but don't miss the drive.

I see it now, you have to click on Special Programs->Tae Kwon Do->Programs

Do you have any information on the MMA instructors and their credentials?

PF is definitely a doable drive for me. I just have a very low opinion of the black belt academy in general. I have seen too many 8 year olds in 7-11 with black belts and giant billboards on their gi advertising.

I don't personally have them as it's my son that trains with them. But I do know he has several guys training in there right now for some big fight coming up. Everyone I know that trains with them has nothing but good things to say. It's worth at least going to check it out. He may even give you a trial to see if you like it or not. This BBA is VERY different then the others in California and Leonardtown. Plus his MMA program is not affiliated with his tae kwon do classes. He does MMA separately in the back of his TKD studio.
