So is this place going to be like another Ledo's or 3 Brothers? From the Facebook page, I really couldn't get an understanding of what to expect from this place. They should at least have a description of the type of food that they will have if they don't have a menu completed yet.

Brick Wood Fired Bistro will bring a chic and modern atmosphere offering up a unique menu inspired by our wood fired oven.

Didn't it make us like the drink better? That and the iceberg instead of crushed or cubes. :yay:

On some level I have to say Yes. I think the fresh flavors in both drinks made them very enjoyable. Fresh juice is always going to taste way better than something coming out of a can. It also shows that someone did some research about the drink. How best to serve it and follow a quasi-tradition.

But why would we want to talk about a restaurant that isn't open yet when we can talk about one that is.

AND a restaurant that doesn't even have a menu or decent description up. I can't get excited about the unknown.

How is that NOT exciting?

They'll probably have a cheese pizza with 5 different types of cheese, a pepperoni pizza where the pepperonis are square instead of circles, and maybe they'll even make the pizzas triangles instead of squares or circles. The possibilities are ENDLESS!

I ran into the owner in Aruba last Thursday. Not the first time I just happen to run into Calvert County people while in Aruba. He owns Salsarita's too.

Another step forward for the Bistro New bistro granted liquor license. i did notice they list their hours weekdays 1130 am to 900 pm. I don't have a problem with that but it does cut out Monday and Thursday night foot ball games and a lot of night time base ball games, def. not going to be a sports bar type place.

New bistro granted liquor license

Prince Frederick, MD - Perhaps the third time will be the charm for a restaurant building with a highly visible location. During the Thursday evening, July 30 meeting of the Calvert County Liquor Board, the owner of the soon-to-be-open Brick Wood Fired Bistro outlined his plans.

According to Jason Nagers of Prince Frederick, the restaurant will specialize in “upscale American bar food.”

Seeking a Class B On Sale Beer, Wine and Liquor license, Nagers told the panel he has been in the restaurant business since he was 15. Additionally, he has worked as a bartender in Annapolis and for the past several years has been the manager of Salsarita’s in Prince Frederick.

Nagers said most of the restaurant’s sales will be food. During weekdays the bistro will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. with slightly longer hours on weekends.

Yeah. Disappointing.... Hockey games will be affected by those hours as well.

Lame.

I was hoping this would be a cool place to watch sports. Huge bar, but cant watch any weekday sports or night football games. Pretty much Apple Bees that closes at 9. Who is the target clientele? the early bird blue hair crowd?

Good luck......

Maybe once they open and get enough clientele asking about those hours, they'll consider staying open longer.
