Double registration fee to all to electronics manufacturers wishing to do business in MD.

I have to actually look at this one.
does it mean those manufacturers are going to have to pay double to sell their products in Maryland, or is it just for those manufacturers that choose to set up production in Maryland.

either way, I dont understand why they are being singled out. Did someone in the MGA buy a bad TV or something?

Got to love those Democrats.
Many people will probably thank them... when those people find a better home in a place with lower taxes.

I didnt ask for it. how about the new taxes only apply to those ignorant people that vote to keep these idiots in the GA?
I think there should be different tax bases for the political parties. Bet the conservative parties would pick up a whole bunch of people on their roles.

no, they are just going to put a healthy tax on the fertilizer.
Delaware and Virginia retailers are jumping for joy at the prospect of all the new business.

No lie! I guess Maryland will have to hire border guards to search for vehicles smuggling in fertilizer, horse feed and ammo...:eyebrow:

And this would cause great :jameo:

Or buy out of state and transfer in...
They will do like they do with cars and charge you the tax upon registering it.

When I tried to register my camper here they wanted $900 in tax even though I bought it 3 years before in Maine and paid tax there. I still don't understand that one.

Off topic but it deals with taxes.

I found it totally odd that when you trade in a car in any other state, they caculate the sales tax on the difference between your trade in and the sale price of the new car. IE: New car $40K - trade in $15K = $25K difference / $25K X .05 = $1250 sales tax.

In Md they charge sales tax on the whole deal. $40K X .05 = $2000
