I'm not a member, there was no club nearby when my kids were younger. My boys are 17 now.

jazz lady I am coming from Western Mass, near Northampton. The area that exists beyond Worcester that the lawmakers in Boston forgets about until Election time! And then forgets about all over again LOL!!!!

Sharon wow so it is possible to survive..... hehehehe, are they identical or fraternal?

I found their homepage and have emailed them now and hopefully I can get some contacts out there through them as well. I love the one I belong to up here. Their dues seem very reasonable which is nice, some of the ones I found before are ridiculously priced for membership dues. I need to check their website more.
Thanks again for the directional Sharon.

Sounds like Maryland - they forget about Southern Maryland and the Eastern Shore, too.

Friends went up to a dart tournament in Chicopee a couple of years ago, which isn't too far from Northampton. They had a great time and loved the area.

Oh you'll live. :roflmao:

I practically did it by myself for many years (when they were young) and I also had a 2 yr. old daughter when the boys were born. They are identical in genes but not personalities. I'm sure you understand that one.

Yes I do, quite well. Mine are obviously fraternal but its funny because they really couldn't get more opposite if they tried.

My little girl is fair skinned, blonde hair blue eyes and slender, 26lbs but 33" tall, not sure where the slender build came from, must be hubby!!

Now my little boy is olive complexion, brownish/auburn hair, dark brown eyes and a tank for a build, 2 years old and he is already 3 feet tall!

My little girl is firmly entrenched in her belief that she is in charge, only problem is that once in awhile my little boy is too! Of course I know who really is in charge, my pets! LOL!!!!!

My daughter is blonde hair/green eyes and the boys are brown hair/brown eyes.
She was always the boss! :whip:
Until the boys passed her by in height, weight, and strength. :lmao:

Kirsten,

I'm not a fan of HOA's myself, especially the one in CRE. $300 a year? C'mon!

I hope I get the house in Drum Point - their HOA is only $10-$15 a year as I understand it.

I grew up without one. My experience in CRE is the first I've have with them, and IMO it's one giant useless waste of money.

ccc, forum members get together all the time. Just put up a post and say, "Hey, who wants to meet for a drink?" Lots of couples and singles on here.

:howdy:, by the way!
:yeahthat: When I first moved to the area I found this forum perfect for helping me out and I've met some great people. And if you are able to escape your house, just post a thread and you'll be surprised at how many people will show up to go out with you! But don't try to put a marital status on it

When I first moved here I did the same thing going to a bar-b-que except it was a trap. Instead of a bar-b-que it was a street gang or a hornet's nest or something and they nearly kicked my head off. I would say this: Try to get to know the people first and don't be afraid to ask them if they plan to kick your head off. Also don't go alone and don't go if they have wild dogs and DO NOT go if it's in Mecham Woods.

Oh good luck with that!

I predict it will disintegrate off topic, then into sex talk before you ever know what happened. :razz2:

It is hard to find a babysitter in a new town and one who is willing to babysit 2 year old twins, for some reason the whole twin thing just scares them.

It's not the twin thing, it's the 2-yr old thing. I've got one and have had the occasion to babysit for another and can testify the two 2-yr olds can get into 4x the trouble.

Oh, fer cryin' out loud! I thought it was something juicy! Ha! Don't worry about http. Nobody else does.

Everyone on this board disagrees at one time or another, but most of us get along quite well in the 'dirt world'. If it bugs you that the two of you disagree, just don't respond to him. Everyone's entitled to voice their opinion.

You and ccc have nothing to worry about. You'll meet some great people when you get here. Not to say we don't have our share of buttheads, but hopefully you won't run into too many of them.

Right, and also Kirsten and ccc, just because you butt heads on a topic with a person doesn't mean they are a "butthead". Remember cari, otter, and sharon, I was the one that defended the beauty, peace, convenience and love for SOMD when ST was ripping it apart from his cozy confines of Northern Virginia.

http, I wasn't insinuating that you're a butthead. I really don't pay enough attention to you make such an accusation. To be perfectly honest, I haven't been that interested in the threads you've posted in and only glance through them.

Oh trust me, I know, since I've never heard you say anything remotely intelligent to me, or perhaps don't pay attention to anything else much at all. I used your post for this since you mentioned my name and "butthead" in the same paragraph. The average to below-average person might misconstrue this as a correlation. So I wanted to use your not-so-well-thought-out assertion as an example of how not to come to rash conclusions about people who you may have "got off on the wrong foot" with.

And look how things evolve into a meany match! Do you plan to kick my head off?

Hi newbies and welcome. Some of the people I like best on these forums are the same ones I butt heads with on a regular basis. So I don't really think of it as "getting off on the wrong foot" but more exchanging ideas in a passionate manner.

I guess you feel the need to point out someone's lapse in proper grammar and diction to come to the aid of your friends. That's fine; doesn't bother me. No one is perfect, and that wasn't my point.
