And don't forget about our gangs in our cities.
The gangs in our cities aren't destroying stability in the region.

Gangbangers aren't out here killing people in large numbers EVERY DAY.

Gangs here have not completely brought down a government, and our government at least makes an attempt to take care of these thugs.

They are, however, destroying stability in our inner cities. They are killing innocent people in large numbers. But don't get me wrong, I do agree with you.

Let me start off with this - Not all muslims are terrorists, not all muslims are bad people, so don't think I'm as narrow-minded as Mike is.

Okay, that out of the way.

These people (Islamic extremists, mostly) are barbaric. They won't stop killing each other and it will never stop. And, unfortanently, the Iraqi government has decided to take sides in this conflict, fueling even more secretarian violence.

They will kill each other at the firing of a pistol if given the opportunitty. It's been that was for hundreds to thousands of years.

Ask yourself this, what is there to fight for? When we see the Iraq Report this week, and it says the Iraqi government has not met a single benchmark, than it's time to ask ouselves what is going on and start thinking about a new plan for Iraq that involves getting our soldiers out from the middle of this civil war (but not a pullout from Iraq) and protect whatever oil interests we can in Iraq.

But the oil :frown:

I want the oil!!! :tantrum

But since the big deal is we didn't find any WMDs, I think we should leave some behind to be found or at least observed. It will certainly quell the region for about 20 years or so.

In revolutionary times if you were in the militia and wanted to leave the fighting you could, they were in every sense of the word volunteers.

You can't exactly do that if you are in the National Guard now can you?

I never fails to amaze me of the total control that liberals want to give the government that they distrust so much (ie the government blew up the leeves in New Orleans, the government lied to start a war to get oil etc etc)

The power of a population are what keeps those in charge in check. If the population had no power the President could dissolve the legeslative and judicial branch and declare himself king and then take away all the other rights that Amerians have such as freedom of religion, speach, peacable assembly, etc etc.

But that was a Gov. run by that lier BUSH :ohwell:

but you miss the point that is not "their" Government ......... liberal Gov., is kids raised by the nanny state, no gun ownership, so you subject to bureaucratic whims with no recourse ......... minimal ownership of private business, unless it is int he hands of Warren Buffet and the like .........
Gov. Owned / Run Health Care ......... private clinics outlawed, doctors imprisoned for practicing outside the government authority ...... :tap:

If you've read any of my related posts on this subject you'd know I am pro-gun. I have a complete belief and support of the 2nd amendment. My actual point to this was, as a result of extreme gun control we have cities that are out of control and the criminal elements rule.

If you aren't part of a well regulated militia, aka the national guard, you aren't entitled to own a gun.

It's in the Constitution if you would just read it.

Hey D!ckwad, why don't you give some actual facts to support your aligations? I think you will not find any historical support of your looney beliefs. You sound like a scared teenager when you post, which is probably saying alot for you since you are really just a scared adolescent!

Read knucklesac's, 2ndamendments and many of the other posters' facts that were presented and try to refute them logically! Can you do it? Naw, I didn't think so you idiot!
