No bathroom doors!

I need everyone's opinions. My little one started at a pre-school program at the CDC in Indian Head today. They do not have doors on the bathroom in the classroom. Two children are allowed in at a time. It is completely open to the classroom. Not only do 2 teachers and 23 children have full view of my half naked child, but so do any parents that may walk in. You go to the classroom to drop off and pick up your child.

I spoke with the manager about it and she did not care about my concern. She claimed that it was for safety issues. So why not put a door up that does not lock or put a curtain up?

How would you feel about this? It's really bothering me and I'm regretting putting my child in the program.

I would think this meets the definition of Child Porn..

But that's just my opinion..

Yes. I was told that they did not open up that early.

They don't, but MAYBE somebody there would be willing to work something out..

I know they are looking for more enrollment, and I think the location would be about perfect for you..

youre not the only one. I have concerns about my own daycare, which otherwise I really like. but the infant room is inside the 2 year old room so parents of infants (and the two year olds parents, obv) walk through the room to get their children and the bathrooms in the two year old room are doorless as well. More than once when I was picking up monster I walked past a row of half naked children getting their ass wiped. It bothers me a little. I try to be logical in that with 2 year olds they need help and don't go on their own and it is only SOME parents who have to walk by..but at the same time every person deserves a little dignity and privacy..so I havent decided if its a deal breaker for me yet.

Getting off the original track a little bit, in boot camp there were 10 toilets, 5 on each side of the bathroom, seperated by about 8 feet with no walls, you sat down and there was a guy in front of you doing the same thing. I don't think I crapped for the entire two months.

While this is a military facility, this is not boot camp. As an adult, I could not crap in front of anyone else. I could not imagine being a child and being expected to.

I understand her point. I'd feel uncomfortable too. When my youngest was younger, they had half doors, but I still felt a little weird about it.

BTW, bootcamp is all adults. I'd be uncomfortable with that, but at least you didn't have any weirdos trying to catch a glimps of your you know what's. Every guy I've ever talked with said they crapped in the middle of the night.

Shoot.. in Grafenwohr we had 12 - 18+ seat outhouses..

Most were two rows back to back, but some were four rows with the outer rows being knee to knee with the inner rows..

Just one small shed with one hole in the plywood after another.. made for a lot of 2AM bathroom breaks HOPING for some privacy..

When we roadmarched out to the ranges you could tell you were getting close because you could smell the outhouses..
