I've had good luck with Abrams and am quite shock that she let him walk. I don't give a flying #### what the victim wanted. The man committed a crime and needs to do his time. It was Abrams' job to see to it that he was locked away. Tier 3? For fondling little girls? Ridiculous.

I'll bet that in less than a year someone will be searching for this thread... In order to post this mans latest charges for the same type crimes. Nothing stops these offenders except being behind bars. There is no cure!

St. Marys is a free space in that Monopoly game, do it and walk. Rape, rob, kill, whatever ..so long as we don't have to deal with you or the paperwork. :(

The sentence was recommended to Judge Karen Abrams by Tiffany Campbell, a special prosecutor who practices in La Plata. She also recommended that Bixby apologize to the victim and that he remain a Registered Tier 3 Sex Offender for life.

This reminds me of how it used to be back in the days with spousal abusers, not exactly the same but similar.

The judge and prosecutor should be serving the community and not just one individual

BTW, does anyone know what delay there is for registering as a sex offender in MD? I've yet to see him pop up in the database.

They say once a pedophile - always one, and that they stick with their type. So his type is pre-teen females. I would hope that the girls' mother would be at least seeking counseling for them, just to be safe.

I feel bad for his kids. I wonder if they are over 16?

How 'bout he falls down a well hole, it collapses in while he's trapped, and he suffocates in his own vomit as he yells for help?

Or, he amazingly escapes from a man-eating shark, but then ironically drowns in the afterglow of his escape from Jaws.

Or maybe he finally takes that skydiving lesson he's always dreamt of taking, but the parachute fails, and he falls to his quick death. Splat!

The news article states:
The judge ordered Bixby not to have any unsupervised contact with girls under 16...

I would presume that includes his daughters.

Maybe because sixteen is the age of consent. Anyone sixteen and above are legal as long as they are not under his supervision.

That's what I was thinking

From a legal perspective, I guess it makes sense. From a parental perspective, I wouldn't want him anywhere near my 16 year old girl
