There is a warning that says they are switching over to the teen programming. And it's not some quick flash either.

well I suppose had she not left her pre-school aged kid in a room by himself for an hour she would have seen it... :dork:

Oh please  Like nobody else has ever let their kid sit and watch TV without a parent being glued to their side.

I'm with ya, Sockgirl. Even if they switched to "teen" programming, teens don't need to watch that crap either. We sit around complaining about how oversexualized kids are, with their "pimps" and "hos" and slutty clothing, then we defend the smutty TV that encourages them to do it.

Some of you are like, "They're little and don't understand what those songs are about". Don't kid yourself. TV will teach them and they will learn what that stuff means. Then you can deal with your 11 year old daughter wanting a pierced bellybutton so she can be a sexpot like Britney and Xtina. Or make a video like Paris.

For an hour straight? Isn't her son like 2? Leaving a 2 year old alone for an hour straight is not cool. Even if she thinks the TV is "babysitting" for her.

I agree on that crap not being on that type of channel though. :yay:

We left the room but left the t.v. on. I walked back in the room an hour later to turn off the t.v. and some hoochie filled video was on.
I'm pretty sure she's saying she and her son both left the room and just didn't turn off the tv until later.

As to the rest - a little friend taught my daughter that song. She was singing it at home and Boy 2 was in her face "where did you hear that song? That's a horrible song. Why would you even sing that song?" She was in tears, she said she didn't think it was bad and her friend would never teach her anything bad. Needless to say it was a long discussion.

Done it a thousand times. Kid's watching some show, so you go about your business, cleaning house, making dinner, whatever, peeking in on him occasionally to make sure he's not sticking his fingers in the light sockets. You're checking on the kid, not necessarily the TV, because you're not supposed to have to monitor something that's specifically directed at young children. You're supposed to feel comfortable that "Barney" won't change to "Sluttina" while you're out of the room.

Yeah, it's the CD version. Lovely, right? But think back to the Tom Jones of the 60's and Sex Bomb "You can do it to me when I need to come(?) alone!"
