If they don't work here, I think they're safe. I don't know how I ended up working here, I choose to present myself in a particular manner, everyone else here doesn't. Things I see on a daily basis...cavity-ridden teeth (to the point that they are black-and we have a dental plan), dresses with dirty sneakers, various 80's attire, Farrah-Fawcett style wings (not the trendy kind), long denim shorts/t-shirts/dress shoes combo's, banana clips, stretch pants...the list goes on.
