 Here we go with the germaphobia again. Seriously... has anyone you know gotten ill from handling their phone? Any news reports?

The obsession with germ eradication is why people get sick. No immunity.
How would someone trace bacteria to their phone after they have become sick? Well I guess they could unless they have cleaned it since becoming ill, but who is paying for all that testing? There have been studies that identify pathogens on the average cell phone which resulted in this I saw: "Scientists at the University of Arizona have found that cell phones carry 10 times more bacteria than most toilet seats."

We come in contact with so many chemicals that affect our immune systems. Some of us (5 to 8% per NIH) have immune systems that do not function properly which causes a variety of ailments. For the average person with a good immune system, being exposed to germs is not a big deal. For someone with a compromised or otherwise ill-functioning immune system, the exposure to germs in some cases could be fatal so I guess care should be taken by those with compromised immune systems and the rest could lick their toilet seats at home and be fine?

Just sneakin' around....
If you have a compromised immune system, you're already taking other-than-normal steps to stay healthy. For the rest of the world, it's not a thing.

One of my very best friends was super cautious during the pandemic. All the years I'd known him, I had no idea he had asthma. In every other respect, he was the most fit of all my friends.

But what they're saying about PHONES I've also heard - for years - about cash. Dollar bills. That just about every one you've ever touched has some trace of human waste on it.

Every one dollar bill contains residual, stripper crack material.

I guess it should not be surprising since we have people among us who don't wash their hands after using the bathroom. EWWW.

If I may ...
For your consideration ...

We come in contact with so many chemicals that affect our immune systems. Some of us (5 to 8% per NIH) have immune systems that do not function properly which causes a variety of ailments. For the average person with a good immune system, being exposed to germs is not a big deal. Pretty sure that these "chemicals" are a scapegoat for the actual reason people have a weakened immune system. Diet. Specifically, the western diet people eat which is nothing but high content sugar, refined carbohydrates and processed and ultra-processed foods. Which leads to, cumulatively, immunological disorders, inflammatory disorders, type 2 diabetes, arteriosclerosis, insulin resistance, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and so on and so forth.

I guess it should not be surprising since we have people among us who don't wash their hands after using the bathroom. EWWW.

As if that really matters. People picking their boogers while pushing a shopping cart. Or digging deep while scratching their asses. And all the other stuff people do throughout the course of a day doesn't hold a candle against bathroom hand washing.

Really any regular phone (home or office) is a major germ spreader. I think that's why we would spread so much sickness in the office.

It's not easy getting tech support from someone you cannot understand.
I talked to 3 different tech support people today from 3 separate companies - 2 were white American guys and one was a guy from India. I was shocked at these odds myself today.
