“Wes Moore is the Captain America of Democratic politics,” said Jamal Simmons, a prominent party strategist who worked for former Vice President Kamala Harris. “He’s a veteran, an athlete and a Rhodes Scholar who still connects with everyday people.
This reminds me of that sound bite where Maher spars with Lemon, who is for AOC to lead the party.
Fact is, this shows that the Left really IS all about optics and none of substance ----
MAHER: They're not asking for AOC.
LEMON: Yes, they are.
MAHER: The people you party with are.
See, and this blows me away. Jasmine Crockett as the new leadership, same. How do they not see that those idiots are the problem, not the solution? I can't tell if they're really that damn indoctrinated and insulated or if they're just selling.
Newsflash - Trump's bragging, insulting and mouthing off is probably the last thing I care about.
Because they're convinced that one, optics are all that matter. Get a woman, an HIspanic, a gay man, put SOMEONE on the ticket that represents some group - and the Dem voters will line up for them.
But you wouldn't vote for him if he'd shown he was just talk.See, and I care about that. I've been waiting my whole adult life for someone to call things what they are and tell the Commies to sit down and STFU.
But you wouldn't vote for him if he'd shown he was just talk.
The democratic socialist (Bernie) wing is taking over of the Democrat Party, and the MSM is aiding & abetting.See, and this blows me away. Jasmine Crockett as the new leadership, same. How do they not see that those idiots are the problem, not the solution? I can't tell if they're really that damn indoctrinated and insulated or if they're just selling. Don Lemon isn't the only Democrat I've heard say this stupid sht, and AOC is talking about challenging Schumer for NY Senate. <--which honestly she'd probably win because NY is more than half retarded.
We're coming at this from different angles, though. You're seeing someone who doesn't hit back as being a spineless punching bag. Maybe I'm just inherently sneaky and Machiavellian. I'm reminded of that old joke where a trucker in a bar is being taunted by a group of bikers, spitting on his food and making jokes about his manhood. And the trucker pays his bill and quietly walks out. "He wasn't much of a man, was he?" "Well he's not much of a truck driver either - he just ran over all those motorcycles". If you're gonna punch back, hit them where it hurts. Mouthing off without a plan is what got my brother in a wheelchair. It got my sister's idiot boyfriend thrown through a plate glass door and gutted from sternum to groin (he survived).I might. Punching back is very popular with me, whereas taking a bunch of crap isn't.
When does Trump LITERALLY face a mindless mob? He does have the brass balls to have townhalls with people who disagree with him - but his rallies consist of people who love him. Sure he deals with vicious press. I don't think I've ever seen the like. Trump himself has said, success will be the best revenge.I admire courage, especially in the face of a mindless mob. Trump stood for the most part alone his first term and very few of his so-called party members dared stand with him against the Democrat attackers.
You're right, but it's a little more nuanced than that. If I can taunt and insult my enemy into doing exactly what I want him to do, that's fine with me - but you usually can't INTIMIDATE such people. You can manipulate such people, and play their ago against them - but they won't back down because you were mean to them. He may be tough with Putin and Jinping, but he doesn't call them sissy little nancy boys with small hands. You see it as taunting and insulting just for the sake of it, but I see it as a much larger indicator of strong character.
We're coming at this from different angles, though.
And I like those kind of people, too. I like some of our right-wing intellectuals who ROUTINELY go into the lion's den, an audience FILLED with antagonists - like Ben Shapiro - and go toe to toe with them for hours, debating these folks. It's pretty easy to be a all big and bad when you have the mob behind you. When it's in front of you only a person of courage and strong character can stand up to it.
Just read about him on Wiki. 1600 on his SAT - valedictorian at his high school, Harvard magna cum laude, Harvard Law with honors - not stupid.Look at Chuck Schumer. He was all big and bad, shaking his fists and railing that Trump is Hitler, when he had his gang behind him. But he got on the wrong side of them and now he's on an apology tour, cowering like the craven coward he is. The clips of him being insulted and berated to his face are priceless, and he doesn't dare defend himself or clap back. And he is the SENATE MINORITY LEADER.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy, really. I love to see assh0les get taken down by their own gang. I mean, I prefer it when they pick on the wrong person and get their ass kicked, but anything that takes them down is okay by me.
